The guy is simply brilliant. What are your favourite films of his? If I had to name just one, I have to go with Project A. I remember it well from my childhood and has always been a personal favourite of mine. I love the end scene when Dragon and his bros come up against Sam Pau. Great fight scene.
I love Jackie but admittedly I haven’t seen a lot of his none Hollywood films. He’s much better than Jett Li IMO whose films I’ve seen even less of.
I've never been a fan of Jet Li and his films as they use CGI and all that shite but I did like Unleashed.
I don't know of (or have met) anyone who has even admitted to having watched any of Jackie Chan's 2,000 films. 100% truth.
Shanghai Noon, Shanghai Knights, Rush Hour 2 & 3, The Tuxedo, New Police Story, Karate Kid, Shaolin. I've seen them all but Shaolin is the best of the bunch, then New Police Story. I've seen a recent one of his (The Foreigner) and that's decent.
It has great stunts and cool fight scenes. Think of it as the Oriental Indiana Jones. BTW I have never being a Jackie Chan fan. I am not a fan of the Kung Foolery genre. Most of his films as a whole are not that good. He is a great stuntman. Buster Keaton might have been proud of him.
Drunken Master is his best movie probably it's best to keep away from the gimmicky East vs West movies like Rush Hour and pretty much anything after Rumble in the Bronx
80s Jackie Chan was his best era. I didn't care about the movie plots as the stories were mere excuses for the next big stunt scenes. Police Story had some awesome (for its time) car chases crashing down a cliff into many 'houses' and the mall fight. The Armor of God stunts send Jackie and so many of the stuntmen to the hospital that prompted insurance companies to deny coverage to Chan and his crew. On individual fight scenes I enjoyed his fight with a visibly overweight full contact karate champion Benny The Jet Urquidez even though I found the 'joke' of asking for breaks to rest totally unfunny and anti-climatic. Shannon Lee had a much better fight scene with Urquidez in Enter The Eagles than Chan.
i like when Jackie Chan hits his head and rubs it with his Asian style yelling 'aaiiiiieeee!!!' like this 2:26
