Exactly! Of course a guy like Xplosive will inevitably chime in at this point and say "Now people are equating (not that exact word as it's too sophisticated for him) Wilder with Hearns", but teh fact is that Wilder has incredible snap on his punches, reminiscent of a Hearns or a Foster.

You get guys who come along and throw out the textbook to maximise some freakish physical advantage whether it's prime Ali using his speed, foreman using his strength vitali or fury using their height. Wilder is willing to trade doing things totally 'wrong' to throw absurdly powerful shots from absurdly far out. A bit like a prime naz. He's making it work so far

Wilder's form kinda goes out of the window when he goes in for the kill
Naz is a really good shout actually. Patient for ages and then sudden explosion.

I gotta serious for anyone who considers Wilder the biggest puncher ever...

What would happen if Lennox Lewis landed a flush overhand right on Charlie Z?

I don't think Wilder is the hardest puncher EVER, I actually give Lewis that accolade, but there's no doubting he has serious power.

I think Fury is already in his head. Wilder isn’t used to someone standing up to him in such a way.

Gotta say, Fury is finally growing on me. 1) finding out he'd been living on the dole because he gives every penny of his money away to charity and strangers. Mental and hilarious, reminds me of that klf stunt when they burned £5m on a deserted Scottish island as a statement. 2) turns out his wife is lovely. This surprised me. No man who sustains a marriage with a wife that nice can be a cunt. 3) seems like he's genuinely not scared of anything. Deontay wilder, ridicule, poverty, being a tabloid press paraih, defeat, making a tit of himself. He's in some sort of stoic nirvana.

Gonna be a bit like the mayweather-Hatton build up with deontay trying to act all 'street' and tough and fury cracking up at him and making bunny ears behind his head.

Nah. I gotta strongly disagree with that.

Wilder might be limited, but he's not a mental midget the way Wald is. Fury's trash talk isnt affecting him at all.

It's actually the complete opposite. Wilder LIKES the back and forth shit talking. So does Fury. That's why they like and respect one another.

Both consider the other "real" and they share in their disdain for AJ, whom both consider fake.

Joshua personally comes across as a good guy, but he's the complicit puppet for that slime piece of shit Hearn. Guys like Wilder and Fury dont respect that, because they see themselves as their own men.

I agree with this, I don't think either guy is particularly affected by the trash talk.

Theres nothing to be affected by. It's not like the trash talk has become offensive or personal.

If Wilder cant handle a guy saying "I'm gonna knock this wind milling bum spark out!" Then he doesn't belong in the sport.

Both guys appreciate that they have a dance partner to help sell the fight.

Yeah he’s grown on me too. I like his personality. Ever seen the video of him singing “proud to be black”? Hilarious.

I would love it if both guys went hell for leather from the off but that won't happen. There's too much at stake and both guys respect each other too much. It will be a tactical one for sure.

History has proven that two guys can respect/like the other and still try to destroy eachother when the bell rings.

History has also proven the opposite, look no further than DLH-Trinidad. Those two hated eachother, yet both fought like scared, tactical pussies.

Having said all that... I can envision this fight being a dud. But I sure hope not, because if its exciting it'll be good for boxing.

Staples Center is gonna be packed, and I think it will do good numbers on PPV.

This fight will be a boring tactical posing prancing feinting affair until Deontay lowers the boom.

If it's a shit fight, Fury wins. Tough one to call, you can basically envisage every scenario barring an early Fury knockout or Wilder on points.

While it would be hilarious to see that stinky tinker knocked cold, I think Wilder is too daft to make it happen... I think Fury spoils and stinks his way to a decision in a rotten fight
