Says if the fight doesn't materialize then it's Haymon's fault. Sounds like ole Honest Bob is... as per usual... full of shit. Yeah yeah... you want Loma-Garcia.... but it won't happen, and it's all Mikey's fault. You want Spence-Crawford... but it won't happen, and it's all Haymon's fault. We believe you, Bob. We really do...
The only reason we should be semi-optimistic here is that Spence seems to be surpassing Crawford in terms of acclaim. And Spence himself I genuinely believe would be interested in the fight.
Spence is already a bigger name than Crawford. Which isn't saying a whole lot... it's not like Spence is Canelo. But Crawford is literally a nobody outside of Nebraska. Arum could have improved Crawford's mainstream popularity if the Horn fight was on primetime ESPN... but it was hidden on the app, which had JUST came out, and like 30 people saw it.
Don't get your hopes up, Doub. I'm willing to bet three months of pay that Spence-Crawford doesn't happen in 2019. MAYBE 2020... but not next year. There's a better chance that we'll see Spence-Porter and Spence-Thurman.
Agree. I'm just saying, to the extent one is more popular then the other, and the popular one has absolute confidence in his abilities, the fight becomes more likely. If Crawford were going along just fine, with everyone calling his name, I'd be less hopeful. As it is, he made need Spence ultimately if he wants to break out.
