    So while the trailer looks promises this movie is shit. The movie has the ability to keep you watching all the way through. However, once you hit the end, there is no conclusion or no explanation about what occurred.

    The best part of the movie was an intense shootout with Cops.

    I saw this trailer and knew instantly it was shit.

    it hold your attention because you want to see why all of this is happening. Well the movie never tells you. It just ends

    Yup!

    I went through the entire film without understanding what anybody's motivation for anything was. Another half-assed half finished Netflix movie.

    The trailer looked promising, but once a dude put on a mask and grabbed a knife I started losing interest. I might check it out 'cause I guess it can't be worse than watching Downtown Abbey reruns with my wife.

    I watched this last night. Yeah... WTF was the whole point of this movie? I'm lost. What a fuckin strange movie.

    It woulda just been better off as a straight forward flick - no mystery or supernatural.

    Jeffrey Wright and the father try to hunt down a pack of killer wolves. Boom! Just keep it as simple as that.

    These Netflix originals are truly horrible.

    Bunch of low talkers in this movie to. Get Jeffrey Wright in it, and everybody else in it wants to be Jeffrey Wright also. There should be a rule in Hollywood. Only 1 Jeffrey Wright or Jeremy Davies per movie or TV program. Anybody else tries to mimic them, and they get fired. I needed the goddamn captions just to understand what everybody was talking about.................and it still didn't make a goddamn bit of sense.

    Spoilers Below For a Movie That's Nearly Impossible to Spoil:










    You find out your wife kills your kid, and not the wolves, and then you go on a mass cop killing, and general murder spree that your buddy helps you out with, because.................................??????

    Why were the wolves even involved in this? Just so they could be a scapegoat? Just so the Jeffrey Wright character could bring up the term "savaging" and use it as a metaphor for human behavior instead?

    Was everybody in the town possessed by wolf demons or some shit, or did the wife kill the kid because HE was possessed by a wolf demon?

    Was killing their own kids and passing it off on the wolves, just a general hobby for the townspeople?

    Why did they keep hinting to us that the Jeffrey Wright character was terminally ill throughout the whole film, but never actually address it? Did he just have a really bad cold the whole movie? Is it just that Jeffrey Wright (the actor) seems like he's sick ALL THE TIME?

    Why did they bury the kid in the ceremonial grave? Was he supposed to come back to life? Did Mom and Dad end up living their days out in the Alaskan Tundra as happy survivalists, bonded by the murder of their only child?

    Did you know that the Jeffrey Wright character had a daughter that lived in the town of Anchorage in Alaska, and that was his main motivation for traveling to this mystery of a town that was decidedly NOT Anchorage or likely near Anchorage? I did, because this was one of the very few things they were clear about several times in this tragedy of a film, even though the daughter didn't actually come into play at all throughout the course of the movie. Were they just trying to tell us that Jeffrey Wright was a shitty dad?

    I could go on and on...........

    Its becoming a common theme with Netflix originals... they make no sense and try too hard to be complex/vague to the point it's just pretentious and stupid. Sometimes theres beauty in simplicity.

    If done right, this coulda been a good movie. It coulda potentially been similar to The Grey.

    Instead, who ever wrote it had no fuvking clue what kinda film he wanted this to be. Horror? Noir? Violent revenge flick? Survival flick? Let's just blend em all together and hope for the best!

    So to shed some light on the film that might be able to help us out. From information from the book, apparently,

    SPOILERS










    The two are brother and sister, not husband and wife. They had a child together, but apparently she killed the child in order for him to come home because she missed him so much. If you remember in the beginning when she was watching the wolves kill a baby wolf. And when he came home, apparently, he was never coming to kill her, he was always coming back in order to be with her and make a new baby together. Ill have to find some more info. This is some info i got from some people who have read the books.
