Early numbers say that UFC 229 did 2.4 m PPV buys. Not too shabby.

 

And 2.4 million buys is a worldwide number for UFC 229 whereas boxing PPV numbers that are released are only for North America, not worldwide totals.
Mayweather/Pacquiao did 4.6 million PPV buys alone in North America and before streaming really took off. Worldwide totals would have it closer to the 7 million PPV buys range.
