Anyone see this guy fight yet? 260. Throws slow arm punxhes that land like missiles. For those who have seen him, what are first impressions?
If he has a good chin, he will be a force. He's the kind of guy who can knock people out with glancing blows. Obviously, it is too early to tell. But for a guy his size, he is very coordinated.
Ok just watched three fights... he's completely shite. JAMES Joyce could land with regularity on this chap.
Throws punches 10 miles wide, defense consists of jumping straight back... already gets hit regularly against tomato cans ...
True, but in all of the knockouts I've seen (his most recent was on tv), he's managed to stop the guy with a single glancing blow, thrown fairly casually. Obviously, it remains to be seen what happens as his comp improves. But he is definitely someone to watch.
Watched him in the Olympics and have seen him in a few fights as a pro. He just isn't skilled and is going to get tonked at some stage in the future, guaranteed. I do agree though that he has decent power.
Because he fights like he's just woken from being passed out drunk and his pals have tied his shoelaces together while he was out
Saw him at the Olympics, looked like a one-paced robotic bum, still managed to beat that French fraud Tony Yoka in the Olympic final though
i will go out on a limb and predict this fella will not be the subject of Joyce Carol Oates next foray into boxing.
Ehhh, ya never really know with heavyweights. Wilder looked like he was never gonna amount to anything either.
Usyk shut him out 5-0 in the WSB, no headgear, 3 minute rounds. Also joyce is 33 now, way too late to still be lumbering around like a junior amateur.
Didnt know he was that old. Maybe his future isnt too bright. If he was turning pro at 25-27 it'd be a different story.
He's shit. He's slow. He takes All day to throw. Some men are men, some men are mice, He's a big dumb fuck and his name is Joyce.
I've seen him a few times. Ponderous is not the word. Seems like a big strong heavy boy but there's fluidity or ease to him. He will be a good bum-beater though. Probably goes no higher. Not entirely sure what it is he wants from boxing, British level, European level, hoping a world title falls into his lap and he goes onto the Tuxedo Circuit as an "Analyst" perhaps.
"Joe Joyce Is The Stiffest Black Man I've Ever Seen"...........Youtube comments still are the best. I bet Neil has seen some pretty stiff black men in his time, eh Neil?
Uh, he's pretty green. We'll see how he does against better opposition. But for now, he is indeed putting guys down with glancing blows. And you as per usual having a mini-tantrum.
