59..... place falls silent, good fuck them. Hopp steps up bangs in 140........total silence. Few pissheads still giving it large. Probably not sure of what is happening. Wade steps up again and throws 140 and his pisshead fans roar back into life. Max Hopp nails it tops.............walks out and fucking hands it to the crowd, proper order. No singing now. Cunts.

Turns out Max Hopp is German and that's why the crowd were on his case. Fair enough.

Kick Brian Laudrup in the head while you're there and drop a Celtic scarf on his unconscious body

Two pilots, two staffers, and the man himself. Very unusual state of affairs. That chopper must have been totally fucked.

Odd feeling of cognitive dissonance swept over me this morning as I found myself nodding continuously through the summary of a Tory budget. The devil is in the detail omitted, I'm certain

Loved it mate. Beautiful city, parts of it really look like Amsterdam, other parts reminded me of Dublin. One of those places where there's something cool to find on every corner you turn down. People were really friendly as well, good eggs the Danes. It was fairly expensive but not as much as I thought it would be. Some really good bars and pubs around too. Great food n all.

The ONLY gripe I have is that quite a few of the bars only open after 5, which is annoying.

Not in terms of talking to people, everybody spoke good English. It was more signs, street names, menus and stuff. Not a lot of English, which is fine as it's not their first language, but usually with most European languages I can get a rough idea of what the word translates to into English. Danish words have fuck all correlation with English, there isn't a whole lot you can hook on to.

Yeah I'd imagine a place like the Netherlands would be easier because the languages share common roots

Yeah I've been to Amsterdam I think five times now and it's never been an issue. Still, Asia was the most difficult, I might as well have been reading emojis.

That's why I have no interest in travelling to an Asian country. Most of them don't even bother taking the time to talk good English.

I saw a bit of some brexit show last year and it interviewed English expats in Spain, one of whom was complaining about the number of foreigners in England now. The interviewer naturally asks 'what about you here' and, honest to Christ, the geezer replied, puzzled: 'I'm not foreign, I'm english'. Fantastic. I made a 20 second 'paaaaaaaah' noise like air being forced out an air mattress

It's a good move. Leeds really need more width in the midfield and 4 provides that

I kind of understand it because the BBC did a similar thing with the Salford move, the media was very London-centric. If I was to start an independent media company myself, I would base it in Yorkshire as there is a thriving media industry there and it is in close proximity to other regions with large television and broadcasting hubs. I do feel sorry for the folks who were forced to move though.
