...and not necessarily robberies. What are some examples that come to mind?

I suspect Leonard was feeling the physical effects of Leonard/Hagler a lot more than Hagler a week later

    Sanchez-Gomez.

Gomez ended up brain damaged, but at least he didn't burn to death in a Porsche.

I suspect that Ray celebrated with so much coke that he didn't feel a thing.

Hagler also got paid 8 mil more than Leonard for the fight, 20 mil to 12 mil, so yeah, I guess he did come out better.

He did? Wow. Would not have guessed that .

Yup. Back then being the champion actually meant more than being the A-side... what a concept!

If Leonard-Hagler happened in 2018, Leonard would make 100 mil and Hagler like 15.

Absolutely 100%. Leonard acted pretty "A sidey" back then, can't imagine now.

    Ali-Frazier 1 absolutely.

Joe won but took so much punishment and went on to lose the rematch and the thriller.

Hagler Leonard is a terrible example, neither of them took much damage

yeah exactly. There's nothing to suggest that Leonard was worse off than Hagler. It was a pretty low damage fight and both of them finished pretty much unscathed

Hearns Leonard is a much better example, since Leonard eye was severly injured in that fight.

I am pretty sure Sal Sanchez was on a motorcycle.

James Dean was in the Porsche.

EDIT: Wikipedia says a Porsche, but I read an account, in a book no less, of how he was on a motorcycle, attempted to pass a car, and hit an oncoming cement truck, and was identified by his dental records.

Hagler clearly landed the better harder shots in that fight

I remember Michael Katsidis beat some guy on the Hopkins-Wright undercard and Katsidis looked fucked up.
