I quite like the appointment. It's different and there's no real expectation on Kenny.

Thought clogg might enjoy this. Its just some old nyc union guy arguing about the wages of truck drivers but its oddly entertaining. I liked one of the top comments....'I've watched this 4 times now and I've no idea why'.

Cutting up a 15-minute long Arlene Foster interview for work, Christ that accent is brutal.

Northern Ireland and Birmingham have to surely be amongst the worst accents in the world.

The more western accents in NI seem less harsh to my ears than the more classic Belfast sound ... the western ones sound more gentle like the Irish accents in the west of Ireland

In the republic, the Dublin area accents definitely sounded more harsh and nasal than the ones out west like Kerry which are more sing-songy

In the East in and around Dublin, I heard a lot more of that sharp pronunciation of words like 'heart' or 'part' where it's like "HAIRT", "PAIRT"... doesn't sound like that in the west, more gentle sounding

Kerry is a really nice accent, I agree. I quite like the Dubbers accent you refer to with the "hairt" pronunciation. I don't know if it's Dublin, but the accent where "bird" becomes "bord", quite like that. Belfast just sounds too nasal for me, can't stand it.

In England, the Bristol accent just makes me laugh. I don't dislike it but if you had a gang of Bristolian "thugs" (LMAO) start on you with that fucking pirate voice, I'd piss myself laughing.

The accent is of course much different, but for just those examples people in eastern Canada tend to pronounce those words the same.

I love Donegal accents if only because it's basically phonetically and rhymically identical to Glasgow Irish, tap for top, gheym for game, yeehhers for years and so on....except soft and lovely lol. Like some sort of parallel dimension where everybody you know is really nice. Dublin is really different, I actually find it quite hard to understand

I had more difficulty with Dublin accents as well ... Kerry, Mayo, Sligo all very easy to understand for me ... though the craziest accent I encountered was a 9-fingered, semi-toothless farmer in Offaly who may as well have been speaking actual Irish

Revisiting the most surreal moment of last season when coolio showed up drunk with his 'good friend' Tommy Sheridan (huh, what?) who'd been 'telling him about the celtic for years' and brought 'the gangsta paradise to the real paradise boy, hail hail!' Me to my brother: 'here... is this actually happening?' Hoping for the scatman this year.

Glesga made the top 50 in the mercer study ranking world cities for quality of life this year! Quite PROOOD considering all the old birds been put thru, it's hauled itself onto its feet and is now lurching forward manfully through its many injuries.

Edinburgh still beats it by 4 places- cunts, London comes in at 42, Dublin at 36. NYC is 45, San Fran is topped ranked US city at 30. The top slots are dominated by chocolate box looking Germanic cities in ze fatherland, Austria, Switzerland with a sprinkling of new world toons like Vancouver, Auckland, Melbourne. Vienna and Zurich always 1&2 every year. Surprised Manchester didn't rank, must be all the spice zombies and gun crime...just adds to the excitement.

Spurs choking, Liverpool behind at PSG. Forest-Villa currently 5-5, Villa just had a goal disallowed.

Villa and Forest's defenses have clearly stayed at home tonight.

John Terry's defensive coaching at Villa really starting to pay dividends.

Ha! It's a shame that that cunt is there as I like Villa and would like to see them back in the top flight.
