Trying out Netflix finally and it didn't have a single one of the five or so movies I tried to watch. I thought they were supposed to have everything. Fucking blows.

There are hundreds of great movies on Netflix. There are also many top notch shows. What are you looking for?

Isn't Kodi still around? I installed it literally yesterday to watch some NHL games. It’s weird AF but it works..

Dude you have to Google which new apps to install on Kodi every few weeks. Kodi’s service is legal but most of the apps on it aren’t. After a while they’re ordered to be taken down and once it is a new one will be created to take its place. Kodi still works great and I use it all the time but it takes a lot of Google searching and YouTube instructions to keep it functional.

Fair enough man but every few weeks seems way too much to be arsing with for me given the time investment in searching out new ones and setting them up. The old builds used to last 6-12 months at a time

Netflix is a great place for series. I prefer watching movies in the theatre anyways

They did't have Panic in needle park or Brothers Grimsby. Didn't have The FP.

It’s actually about several months before you’ll need to look up new apps. I did it not too long ago but then that was for sports stuff. The movies and tv shows have remained on one app or another for a long time and the biggest issue you may have is figuring out which apps work best.

I think it’s definitely worth it. In fact I would say that I watch Kodi 4 to 5 times more than I do Netflix and that’s not even including the sports stuff. I watch Kodi more because whenever I want to check out a tv series, it’s usually not available on Netflix while Kodi has everything. I’ve been seriously considering canceling my Netflix account because of how rarely I use it.

what cheeses me about Netflix is that there is no rating system...it should be linked with imdb or something

when looking for a movie, like a horror for example, you have to Google each title, often to find out that it has a 3/10 imdb rating

  19. They changed it last year over the Amy Schumer 'conedy' special that was universally destroyed by Netflix reviewers.
It's now reduced to the shitty thumbs-up or down rating system.

It was super shitty long before that. Shitty Netflix movies would come out and have 5 stars and Goodfella's would have like 2 1/2. It was always useless. That special sucked, but I don't think Amy fucking Schumer has that kind of pull with Netflix. Also, a bunch of really, really bad movies or tv shows that only 3-4 people watched would have 5 star reviews for like forever.

What bugs me the most about Netflix is they only have actual trailers for their own material. Everything else is some weird nonsensical computer generated trailer with a disturbing and unrelated music score in the background.

I can actually view the Netflix offerings through my Comcast On-Demand lineup. There it will give you Rottentomatoes scores, Audience scores and proper trailers for most movies, though oddly they are missing the trailers for the Netflix original material.

Poor selection of films to be honest.

Netflix axed Daredevil. Last good show that was left.

If you want a better selection of quality Hollywood films (instead of the 500 indies you have never heard of before in Netflix), go to Popcorn Time. Is free. Just don't download them. Watch them in the stream.

^ see that sucks...finding shows only because people recommend them
the ability to search a huge list of shows/movies is worthless without their being a rating system or link to imdb
    the whole platform is frustrating

movies is the main struggle...with a TV show at least you know you can get hours of viewing out of your research, but with a movie you spend as much time finding something as you do watching it
