No heavyweight throws body punches at all either. 99.9% of them seem to have never heard of throwing to the body. Wilder could've slowed Fury's movement down if he worked Fury's body. Lay some leather on the ribs and kidneys. Take the legs out and seep the stamina.

Slice is true I was saying the very same thing repeatedly as we watched it (to my missus who responded with a series of classic woman-pretending-to-be-interested hums)

Final purses aren't known until the PPV numbers are tallied as each fighter gets a percentage of PPV revenue.
But according to many news reports that just came out earlier on Sunday, Tyson Fury is donating his £7.8m purse to the homeless and to various charities. That's his flat purse without PPV revenue added in as yet. So he probably might double that once PPV numbers are in. Wilder's purse is unknown but as the champion he got a bigger purse and also will get a big piece of PPV revenue alongside Fury.
I know for sure that that if Joshua fights either of them in UK, it will be a sell-out.

Yeah, women would rather watch the Kardashians and other crap reality television programs involving silly fake drama. Suitable programming for the brain dead.

This is why I don't see any point in a Fury x Wilder rematch.

Fury x Joshua at Wembley Stadium next Summer would eclipse anything else in boxing today.

Yep. Also, Fury though not a a power puncher by any stretch of the imagination, hits hard enough that it makes his opponents even more reluctant to let their hands go, leery of getting countered.

Fury clearly landed some shots early that got Wilder’s attention and made him more hesitant than usual to commit to his right hand.

    People still want Joshua-Wilder.

I myself don’t need to see a rematch with Fury and Wilder because I already know Fury is the better fighter.

I say, let AJ and Wilder fight it out next year, and after AJ knocks Wilder out, then let it be Fury and AJ for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

Who says Wilder can't knock out AJ?

Wilder can definitely knock out AJ. I think people will be surprised how different Wilder looks against Joshua. Fury makes people look bad, AJ doesn't fight anything like that.

I definitely give Wilder a better chance to win against AJ than Fury.

But in a battle of punchers, I’ll go with the guy that gets there first. My gut tells me AJ gets there early and more often with his power shots and I don’t see Wilder holding up under the barrage. Wilder can win with a one punch KO, but if that’s a guy’s best chance, I wouldn’t be confident in wagering on him. I think AJ accumulates damage on Wilder and gets him outta there in a fight similar to Pavlik-Taylor 1.

As for Fury vs AJ. I pick Fury to beat him. Joshua has a chance to KO him but I think Fury is far more naturally gifted.

Wilder would KO AJ stiff robotic ass. But I don't think AJ has has the balls to get in the ring with him

If anything, AJ is the guy likely to duck the fight. Wilder has shown no tendency to duck anyone.

Just read Wilder guaranteed $4 million, Fury $3 million. Both could make more from PPV obviously. With that said, will be curious how it does on PPV. Not sure if this is a 1 million buy PPV which would mean huge money for both guys.

    BTW...

There was no way I'd pay for this...caught the last few rounds on Twitter.

I'd favor AJ in this one. Wilder throws a straight punch once per round.

Wilder throws so many awkward looping punches compared to AJ's straight punches...I'd bet on the straight punching guy. It's not difficult to see AJ countering him and putting his lights out. Wilder would never see it coming.

Read an article where Hearn said he'd base Wilder's purse on the PPV buys for the Fury fight. If it comes in under 300,000 he's offering Wilder an 80-20 split.

With that said, Fury comes out looking better here. AJ vs. Fury is a bigger fight and it's home grown. Wilder should be on the outside looking in.

There's a lot of buzz in the sports world regarding this fight right now. Casuals loved the fight, despite the decision.

I think a Wilder-Fury immediate rematch has the potential to break 1 mil buys.

I think it's great that it got casuals on board, loads of people have been talking about it at work.

I personally don't care too much for the rematch, at least straight away. One of them needs to get in there with AJ next, that'll be huge. Keep the momentum going.

I don't think Hearn will want joshua near fury, that's a style nightmare right there. Joshua-wilder would be huge fun

Joshua-Wilder is gonna have to made on the traditional PPV format. I dunno how much of the mainstream are gonna be drawn to download the DAZN app just for one fight, even if it is cheaper. DAZN is gonna have to become a more well known entity first.

The mainstream is just used to the traditional PPV set-up.

Joshua-Wilder, if it's made next, might reach or exceed 1.5 mil buys.

I think Joshua walks Fury down and stops him. He just doesn’t have the offense to keep him off.

I think Joshua is a little too straight up and I’d take Wilder to catch him. Joshua throws more technically sound punches but Wilder knows how to land and throws from angles that a rigid guy like Joshua would be vulnerable to. Wilders a tough piece of leather as well.

Oh ok. I agree then. I think AJ is planning to fight Uszyk next. That says it all.

Fury doesn't seem to have a big punch, but still Wilder didn't take many risks with him, until the end.

He might punch harder than it seems, that, or he is just damn difficult to attack

Wilder knows his chin is crap. Fury had him rocked big time in round 12. His eyes rolled in the back of his head. Fury for a big guy is not durable nor does he hit hard. Size, mobility, speed and heart are his assets.

    I've seen it.

Wilder had issues with Ortiz. AJ is taller, has a longer reach and is more skilled than Ortiz.

I can see Wilder missing badly, falling in then getting clipped by an uppercut. Not much different than how AJ ruined Klitschko...except Wilder doesn't get up.
