Does anyone think that 12th KD round was a slow count?

He goes down at 43 or 44 seconds and seems to get up around 54 or 55 but he definitely beat the refs count.

Ref's count is the only thing that matters since that's what the fighters listen for/hear....

This is why the rematch will happen. Controversy over the draw result and ref's count.

  12. And the fact neither will be able to get a money-fight with Anthony Joshua because.....well, we all know why.

Who's to say the fighter wouldn't get up quicker?? He only goes by the count in his face. Fuck this stop watch long count bullshit.

  14. It's for so-called 'clever' cunts who a) don't like Fury or b) didn't think he'd beat Wilder

This is simply not a long count, at the very most it's a 1 second error by the ref.

One thing everybody can agree on is that Fury is the boy for putting that little weasel cunt Seckback in his place:

    Exactly

Every time somebody tries to claim long counts in any fight, I just want to shoot them

    Agreed.

I was disappointed with Tyson when he made a big deal about the Douglas long count in his stage show thing. It's taking away from Buster's victory and the greatest upset in the history of the sport. Especially as he was so magnanimous in defeat in the interviews I saw from him not long after the fight.

At the end of the day, whether the ref counts fast or slow is irrelevant, the only thing the fighter needs to do is make it up before 10.

It wasnt the count per se that was problematic, but more the extra time the ref gave him when he got up.

Not saying it made a difference in the outcome of the fight, though

He simply said walk towards me.... It's better that the ref takes extra 2 seconds to make sure the guy is ok to continue than sending a guy out to get brain damaged. And I'm sure he would do the same if Wilder got dropped.

That's fair, I can see the issue there (though I think Fury would have still made it through). I guess it's karma though as Wilder was the beneficiary of the same thing in the Ortiz fight.

Fury actually seemed 100% coherent when dropped. He didn't seem wobbly or hurt at all. He just seemed surprised and disappointed in himself being caught but his physical and mental state seemed 100% thus why he actually won the remainder of the KD rounds. You could say that round 12 KD was a violent flash KD more than anything else.

In fairness, that was really more Don King... the end of Octavio Meyran's career

The count isn't a fucking clock no matter how much people pretend... it's a count of ten, not "ten seconds"

People who bring it up thinking it's a clock should have their faces obliterated with a fork

I wonder if the commissions give referees some kind of a math test before hiring them? What if a referee can't count to 10??

No I know about the King thing, I mean Tyson recently in the stage show with Spike Lee:

All the interviews I saw with Tyson after the fight he was full of praise for Douglas and accepted his loss like a man. A shame he started doing this stuff.

  28. I read on here that Hanzy and panchyprsss were saying it was the clock/10 second count...

Well, time to grab some forks

Then you surely also read here that Hanzy is a fucking idiot. Think about it. The referee cannot be expected to count to 10 with the exact accuracy of a stopwatch. He will always be off by a millisecond or 2 or 10 and then that would give people grounds for complaints and appeals...
