Since we're on the topic about counts/clocks, there's a guy on the outside of the ring who's signaling the count with his fingers whom the ref looks to in every fight. That's usually how it works but it's never going to be completely accurate anyway. Fury would've gotten up regardless as he was only following the ref's count and not a clock or whatever.

BOSS seems far more upset than anyone else on this forum regarding the Draw.
Heck, I was expecting a draw to happen. Most everyone should've been. It's boxing after all. We're supposed to get these types of decisions. :D
You saw the Teddy Atlas on Joe Rogan podcast. All that stuff he said about representatives of various boxing organizations all having dinner together with the judges and ref at a restaurant the day before a championship fight. LOL!!! The sport is completely corrupt.

It's because I feel bad for Fury. He's been through a lot and earned the W and they ruined it for him

Nothing got ruined for Fury. His reputation has been greatly enhanced after Saturday, he's become an overnight celebrity with the American public, and he made several million dollars.

My initial take from the fight was the heart of Fury but the more I think about it the more I question Fury's heart... He got dropped in that 12th and got up. Won the remainder of the round yes. However I didn't see Tyson badly hurt from the KD yet as he lay there for 5 seconds before getting up I saw a man contemplating staying down but deciding against it. Other referees would have waved it off as Fury was laid out on his back thus makes me think why Fury didn't jump back up to make sure it doesn't get stopped. Yes he got up in the end and it's a great story but It's those 5 seconds of indecision make me wonder... I fully believe he was clear headed during that time and physically capable of getting up right away.. yet he wasn't sure if he wants to.... but yes in the end the will of redemption prevailed but there was a 5 second struggle...

The ref counts with the timekeeper who has a clock so the count should actually be 10 seconds, but you have to allow sometime for the ref to recognize and call the KD. The count was good and Fury beat it barely.

Atlas and the Victims of Boxing Society need to stfu. If the fix was in then Wilder and Fury had to be in on it to coordinate the knockdown in the 12th that made it a draw.

The draw has probably made even more people gravitate towards Fury and given the fight even more attention and media/newspaper coverage. And it sets up a big rematch which will sell out in England or wherever.

Tyson Fury donating big chunk of his purse to the homeless and trying to help the poor. Seldom hear rich athletes do good deeds for the less fortunate. Good man is Fury.

Heavyweight boxing is lit right now :)
Joshua, Wilder and Fury together have brought some renewed interest into the sport. Even though the draw was unfortunate, lot of people are talking about this fight still and a whole bunch of talk and videos made of Tyson Fury rising up in the 12th round to the Undertaker's music like he came back from the dead :D

Tyson Fury says he's donating it all. Although I don't know if his wife would be cool with that. :D

Must give huge credit to Wilder. His last two fights were thrilling. A great remedy to reignite the interest in HW boxing that the reign of boring ass wlad pretty much killed

The most exciting fight any of the three of them, and the best fight any of the three of them has been involved in.............was Wlad vs Joshua.

Wlad/Joshua, Wilder/Ortiz and Wilder/Fury were all really good fights. I'd probably give the edge to Wilder/Fury personally but I'll admit that has a lot to do with the back story. Can happily rewatch all three again though.

Wlad-Joshua and Wilder-Ortiz were the most competitive.

Fury-Wilder IMO wasn’t all that competitive overall. Even with the knockdowns, it never FELT like Wilder was having his way in the fight. He was totally bamboozled and taken to school in that fight. I don’t even think he landed more than 10 total punches. HONEST.

    Wilder-Ortiz was a better fight than AJ-Wald.

More dramatic too, as Wilder was closer to getting stopped than AJ was.

I dunno, Wlad had Joshua completely out on his feet in the 5th. That round alone was dramatic as hell as AJ scored the knockdown. I actually think Joshua was in a worse state in that round than he was in the next round when he got dropped.

AJ actually seemed to recover well from the knockdown. I also thought he was in worse shape the round prior.

But when he got up in round 6, he actually did a good job of slipping a lot of Wlad’s follow up powershots.

He was more gassed than hurt against Wlad.

Against Ortiz, Wilder was legit hurt from right hook. A punch he didn’t see. Wilder is vulnerable to short shots inside or straight shots from outside. His chin is better than I initially thought, though.

Talking about Wlad AJ, wasnt Wlad reaction after the uppercut that led to the end the worst survival skills ever shown by a top fighter?

You can see that he was having another panic attack the way he was fastly bobbing and weaving

You know, I initially thought the same but when you look back on it, he was taking some vicious shots. I think he tried to use his veteran savvy but was simply overcome by the power, youth and aggression by Joshua.

The only person who knows how badly he was hurt in that moment...if hurt at all...was Tyson Fury himself. If he had gotten up immediately, he might've flopped around like a dying fish like Zab Judah after the Tsyzu knockdown. I've seen many fighters take a few seconds and lay on the ground to gather their wits while fully alert to the ref's count.

Both were really good fights. Boxing is in a good place if the heavyweights consistently deliver fireworks like this. Even MMA fighters and fans are all paying attention to the big boxing matches. They're just as into it as the hardcore boxing fans. Nothing better than an explosive boxing match where 2 boxers go out there and put it on the line.

What I especially noticed was Joshua's legs/thighs were twice the size of Wlad's. Joshua definitely overloads on leg day.
