    really?

I don't think Wlad has a lot more skills than Ortiz, and AJ is a stiff robot, so I can't say that I'm impressed with his skills

Rogan, who's the God of every MMA fan, was praising the fight non-stop on his podcast.

I cant understand for the life of me why MMA fans consistently shit on boxing, when guys like Dana White and Joe Rogan are unapologetic boxing fans.

AJ ain't exactly Mike McCallum as a technician, but this is all related to the inept boxing of Wilder. The guy cant box a fucking lick. He's probably less skilled than Antwun Echols.

100% of his success is due to his freak power.

I think Wlad has more tricks than Ortiz. He just chose to fight in a way that didn’t expose himself, whereas Ortiz is more of a risk taker.

Wlad’s jab and timing/accuracy would have given Wilder a lot of problems.

Of course Wlad was an excellent technician, and he would indeed give hell to Wilder (though he would obviously get KOed or quit eventually). Still, I don't think he was more skillfull than Ortiz. That old man is a tricky crafty motherfucker. He doesn't have the physical talent of Wlad, but he has skills in spades

Wilder skills are pretty bad, but he has a good jab, and his movements are rather good. Yes AJ fights in a more conventional way, but I don't think he has much more skills than Wilder. He's as basic as it can get.

Defensively both AJ and Wilder are about equal. Both get hit but for different reasons. AJ gets hit because he’s super stiff, whereas Wilder carries his hands too low and is vulnerable in exchanges due to swinging so wide.

And while Wilder’s chin is better than I originally thought... I don’t fancy someone who is that easy to hit to beat AJ. In an exchange of punches, I tend to favor the straighter, shorter and more compact shots over the wide and wild ones.

I get your point, but In a firefight, I tend to favor the one who is more dynamic and fluider. And this is Wilder.

Really hope this fight happen. Will be a firework

I'm not. I always felt it would do around 300-350k.

The rematch will do a helluva lot better, if they do it next while public demand is still high.

I think the rematch can do around 800-900k.

I still think a rematch isn’t gonna happen. At least not right away.

Definitely. All Wilder has is his battle cry 'BOMB SQUAD!' and he talks a lot of shite too.

I think it's doable. They'll be a lot more mainstream coverage for the rematch. They'll be a lot more social media buzz for the rematch. Market it the right way, and yeah, I think 800k is reachable.

Dana and Rogan are in their late 40s. They grew up on boxing so they understand it and appreciate it. They trained in it. Dana was an amateur boxer from what I understand.
Most of the younger MMA fans who never grew up on boxing don't understand the sport. Although when you get really dramatic exciting boxing matches, it seems to bring a lot of the casual crowd. Hype sells always. Big fight in Vegas brings huge crowds always.
MMA itself as a sport has plateaued looking at the viewership numbers across the board. Lot of the people who got on board 10-12 years ago during the boom period of MMA have mostly moved on from the sport and tend to only watch if McGregor or Rousey are fighting. Most of these other 600+ fighters on the UFC roster can't draw flies to sh*t. Mostly just tatted up broke bums trying to survive on peanuts. I post on 4 different MMA forums and the opinions are shared. People tend to have better things to do nowadays than to watch UFC fight nights with a bunch of fighters nobody ever heard of.

I'd say closer to 400K honestly. Lot of people might skip it because of how disgusted they are with the sport itself and the bad decisions and corruption. Nobody wants to plunk down 50 bucks to see another possible screwjob.

Or because of the controversial outcome the first time around, they'll be more inclined to buy it as they think there will be more chance of a knockout.

I can't see the fight going much over the 400k range if that. Looking at the history of PPV buys in both boxing and MMA, 99.9% of the time fights seldom do a whole lot better in PPV numbers for rematches. Very small increases.
To say that a boxing match that did 320K ppv buys will suddenly do 800k ppv buys in the rematch is massively delusional. LOL

He tried to fool his way out of the situation...."Look at me, side to side, not hurt"........but Joshua didn't buy it. Shit happens.

I now what was trying to do you sensible idiot. Funny how you think that your discovering some arcane knowledge while your only spouting banalities. But it was such a pathetic attempt that it only showed to everybody that he was badly hurt, hence why I said that it was one of the more pathetic, panic infused, survival skills ever displayed by a top fighter
