Looking forward to Eddie Howe's after-match diatribe. It will go something like this............. "That goal changed everything. Big teams always get the breaks. We need VAR........we are an honest bunch of lads, an honest bunch of lads..........that goal changed everything". What won't he mention: 1. His cunts were putting it about large from the kick-off, tackles flying in. 2. His keeper, a supposedly World-Class international, flapped at it and allowed Salah in. 3. The big shit house Cook spent all afternoon fouling Salah, best exemplified by when he hurt himself fouling Salah for Salah's second goal, and then scored an OG himself. 4. Howe chose to sit deep and counter.........at home. 5. His own teams lack of possession and mistake making when in possession.
I told you fucks that Salah would get it back and you were all like "no Slice, you are an amazing man and all but I think for the first time ever you might be wrong here, Salah is finished", and I was like "na, just wait and see, it'll come back" THE SLICE IS RIGHT.
Lol. We didn't say finished, we just knew that he wasn't performing like he did last season, which is true, but that's obviously a tough act to follow. What he did today is what we expect of him and if Liverpool are to challenge for this title, he's going to have to push on from here.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is that the first time this season that Salah has scored more than one goal in a league game? I think it is.
I wonder who feels the bigger wally right now. Begovic or Cook. It's rare that a keeper gets beat by his own defender on a goal and it's rarer yet he gets beat twice by the same striker for the next goal ::
There's your unbeaten record down the toilet. First time in a long long time, possibly 2008, that Liverpool have gone unbeaten longer than anyone else.
City didn't take their early chances. Chelsea took both of theirs. Somebody made a point on 606 today that because nobody stood up to City last season and pressurized them, they were able to streak away. Once Liverpool beat them, they looked vulnerable all over and went on to lose at least 3 more high profile games. But that didn't happen until January, that somebody stood up to them. Now, with the pressure, it is possible they might not be so good.
