Virtually Impossible to Compare/Contrast the Power of Fighters from Different Eras Since They're NOT Punching the Same Motherfuckers in the Face...

What We CAN Say, w/Out Equivocation is Deontay Wilder is THE Hardest Puncher in Boxing Today...Period...Round 1, Round 12, Up on the Cards, Down on the Cards, it Doesn't Matter; If he Hits You Clean He HURTS You...

It's Always Funny When People Attempt to MINIMIZE a Guys Power or WHY He Punches Hard..."Hamed ONLY Punched Hard Because he Had Big Legs"..."Roy Jones ONLY Punched Hard Because of His Handspeed"..."Hearns Only Punched Hard Because he was 6'2"...

Now, Wilder Only Punches Hard Because of his (Lack of) Technique? Sorry, But That's HOW Wilder Fights...He "Only" Punches Hard Because THAT's The Way He Fights...

The Fact of the Matter is Wilder Has "Bail You Out of Trouble", "Save Your Ass" Power...Szpilka, Washington and All BUT Did Likewise vs. Fury...In a HISTORICAL Sense, How Many Fighters LACKED Technical Wherewithal, Possessed 2 Redeeming Punches in their Entire Arsenal, Yet STILL Managed to Register KO's to the Degree Wilder Does?

Come From Behind KO's @ That?

    Yeah.

How he manage to carry his powe late is very impressive. And he has incredible self belief. He seems to never doubt that he'll eventually catch the guy and that he'll crumble

Foreman and Liston couldn't even equalise what bum ass Cooper did. I guess they weren't hard puncher. What a ridiculous post

Another Impressive Aspect of Wilder's Power is How LIGHT He Is for a Heavyweight...He Officially Weighed in @ 212 1/2, but was Actually 209 on Fight Night...He Gave Away MORE than 50 Pounds in the Ring...

Nonetheless, the EFFECT of His Shots Suggests He's Landing on SMALLER Men...

Wilder is like a 'Rocky' character: can be rounds behind on the cards, veing totally outboxed, but has the power/self-belief to win at any moment....or try to win, anyway.

There isn't an ounce of fat on Wilder. He could put on at least 10-15 lbs of muscle on his frame. Could be closer to 230 lbs at his height.

It's hard to say really. Wilder is like Thomas Hearns. Deceptively powerful. Hearns had no real power in his youth when he was coming up but with technique and training, he became one of the most lethal hitters ever.

    Not really.
Because I want to see how he fights against top opposition in their primes.

I do admire his self-belief as much as I admire Fury's.

I like Wilder. He brings a different vibe to the sport with his self promotion along with his power. He could become a big star if he unifies the titles.

Compared to the period of 2003-2015, which was probably the worst in history, Wilder is like the ultimate breath of fresh air.
I only say that because for all Fury's ability and character, I think he could (but hope he doesnt), blow-up again.

Anthony Joshua does nothing for me. Not as a boxer or sporting personality.
He's the Lewis Hamilton of Boxing.

    Tennis comparison?
I'd say Joshua is the Tim Henman of Boxing: does 'most' things well, nothing special and the kids/grandparents/casuals love him.

Wilder would be a perfect 15 round fighter. Stinger would be proud

Mike punched like you stole his money. Wilder punches like you stole his book on boxing fundamentals.

Funny story about Tyson. Couple years back he went to a school to talk to the kids and they just thought he was the black guy from The Hangover and knew nothing else :D

Tyson said it was a very humbling experience. Hey Boss, when you see UFC fighers walking down towards the octagon, you ever notice the security guys and police officers standing on the side are like 7 feet tall and dwarfing the fighters?
