So basically this guy has done it all. Weight cheating, roids and now wraps. Can’t say I really blame him though, if the choice is being good at good boxing pay or viewed as one of the best at multimillion dollar paydays, any one of us would probably take those same extra steps to win.

That's very an insult to LaLonde, who was Ray Robinson compared to Fielding.

 

fielding won the belt vs an unbeaten champion who had made THREE title defenses.

 

Fielding was looking for a way out after that first body shot landed. He was looking st his corner like “watch me, make sure you pull me out before I take too bad a beating.”

Good win for Canelo but Fielding is anything but elite level.

 

REED Had Low Expectations of Fielding As Is, But it was Apparent He was Just Happy to Be There By Walking to the Ring 1st.

Fielding was pish as expected, maybe even more so.

However

My friend who was at ringside said afterwards that only when he saw Canelo up close he realized how good a technique and eye Canelo actually has. He, like everybody, had seen Canelo as a pretty basic fighter, but maybe there is more to his game. Not that beating Fielding would prove anything of course.

 

Forgot to bet and was going to bet on 3-5 rounds. Oh well. As expected, Canelo ripped those body shots in and Fielding was never going to last too long once they did.

I'd like to see Canelo in against Callum Smith.
