Hey dogg, gotta say this is my favourite of the new releases - not my style but a sublime piece of music.

I'm not in love with it but I admit it's definitely well done

Do you really like that song? Those guys were CSNY for people too scared to actually take acid or smoke grass (not to mention people not put off by distractingly bad lyrics...)

They had a knack for a hook so they had their share of hits but goddamn that is some incredibly minor shit

I could play any song of theirs I know ... I know all their hits which off the top of my head would be that song, "Horse With No Name" (which Randy Newman famously ridiculed as "a song about a kid that thinks he's just taken LSD"), "Sister Golden Hair", "I Need You", "For All The Lonely People", "Tin Man" and "You Can Do Magic" (which as a child always made me picture that bizarre buck-toothed hippie magician/illusionist Doug Henning for some reason) ... I probably missed one ... none of those are difficult to play

Yeah I'm not an R&B ballad guy, but there is a vibe in that studio and the post work is great (andMonica's voice is fantastic) - I really like the way they pumped more reverb on the Dosik solo at the end, the whole mixing sounded very retro and as usual, that Wong guitar guy makes basically anything sound better. Couple of guitar overdubs with tremolo and reverb were expertly inserted too. They are getting better and better at their craft and they don't miss much nowadays.

Katzman's accoustic didn't make it into the mix, lol. His voice is a bit whiny too, as are his lyrics.

But the song itself is absolutely excellent.

    Agree completely

Katzman I like his drumming and his guitar work (he's a real good bassist too ... check out Woman Believer- Christine Hucal she's brilliant, great writer, totally unique timbre to her voice and a great absurdist sensibility... Katzman plays some good stuff on that album as does Woody) but his voice is a little too Timberlake "soul" for me, though it is good

I love pretty much anything Woody Goss and Joe Dart play on any track these guys do

Woody Goss is like icing on the Vulf cake. His stuff is perfect.

Hey so that Louis Cole/Knower crew - I recognised a guy playing keys on their live tracks, Rai Thistlethwayte, a local Sydney guy. His main band is a local soft-cock rock crew, quite successful, which is totally weird, but the guy is apparently has a B.music in jazz piano and is some sort of musical genius. So there ya go.

    Soft cock rock -

    Key god -
