Anybody give Rigo a chance in this one? I can't see it. This is NO Nonito Donaire that Rigo is in with this time.

I think Gomez breaks down Rigo and puts him to sleep at some point.

Truly one of the best offensive fighters that ever lived at 122.

Nearly impossible to say since we saw prime Rigo for such a short time, if at all as a pro. The old midget who got slapped by Loma wasn't the whole truth.

As it is, you have to make Gomez the favorite since he is far more proven

Yeah, it's a shame the lil dead eyed bastard wasted his prime in the amateurs.

If he turns pro in 2000, yeah, he might rival Gomez as the greatest 122 pounder ever.

But going by the best version we saw, I think Gomez wins.

Gomez was better than Donaire at literally every facet of boxing... a farrrrrr better technician.

I also question Rigo's stamina somewhat. Gomez had some of the all time great stamina at 122.

I always liked Rigo, but he was very overrated, and the Loma fight showed us he had a lot of dog in him. I'd pick gomez big

There might be validity to the dog statement, but doesn't change the fact that he was old, inactive, and he's a tiny guy... really tiny. Probably would never be much effective beyond 122.

But we do know that Gomez much certainly did NOT have any dog in him. He had as much heart as anybody.

Also, I can't even say that Rigo was more skilled than Gomez, cause he wasn't. Maybe defensively, although prime Gomez had excellent defensive reflexes. Offensively, Gomez had a big edge.

Rigo is chinny, he could be out-boxing Gomez for three to four rounds and then he gets the Jackson-Graham treatment

I question if he even could outbox Gomez.

Like I said, Gomez wasn't one dimensional like Donaire.

I think you have to favor Wilfredo to outlast Rigo
