Really hoping 'Pool take this, would be nice to see a proper club win the league instead of these oil cunts.
I dunno the lines between proper and fake money clubs in the prem is increasingly thin and distant....it's all just somebody advertising stuff to channel surfers in east asia either way
Liverpool have at least built a reputation as being a club who bought smart, sold smarter and reinvested well. Done it three times now with Torres, Suarez and Coutinho. Don't like the narrative that's been coyly spun in the national media these past few days.....viz "If Liverpool don't win they have blown it.........If Liverpool don't win they are only 4 points clear of City after an unbeaten run and that will not be enough". Etc etc. The truth is that nobody, a mere 4 weeks ago, was saying that Liverpool would be 4 points clear of City AFTER tonights game.
Difficult to gauge how much Defoe has left but he's one of a few potentislly useful veterans by the sound of things with Charlie Adams from blackpool and Steven davis from southampton being the other two.
Yeah Defoe can still put them away. He has always been a poacher-type striker anyway so wouldn't be as much wear and tear. He'll finish any chance that falls for him.
It sounds like a winner but....sometimes guys just get old. Dudes 36 now. I remember us getting Ian Wright and dion dublin in as emergency cover, similar ages both - both were fecking dire
Right. Not square 1 but not a million miles from it. If Liverpool want to win the League, it's going to go down to the wire. Tonight was a chance, it didn't work out, opportunitis were missed, the referee bottled it, didn't want to send "Nice Guy" Kompany off, whatever. Last year Liverpool lost this 5-0. OK there were circumstances etc. Still this sticks in the gut. Pep should and could have been dead man walking after this. Instead the little baldy cunt will be reinvigorated. Talk will be that "Liverpool blew it" etc. I don't buy that but you don't give suckers breaks, either. And that's what Liverpool just did.
