Can Ray out-jazzercise Toney on his way to a decision?

The 87 Leonard was still too mobile for Toney imo.

Ray wins a decision at 160.

    Toney wins at 168.

Probably Toney at both weight, but Ray as a hell of a shot

Tough one to call. I can see Leonard's footwork and quick combinations not allowing Toney to get enough offense going. On the other hand Toney wasn't always the stationary counter-puncher we tend to remember from his later years. I'll split the difference and say Leonard by close decision at 160 and Toney with a more dominant result at 168.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it could go either way.

Are you just asking to get banned coming up with such controversial stances?

  7. Toney too good for Leonard at both those weights.

No. I'd argue that even a faded Hagler was better than the best Toney.

    Oh bullshit

  11. Why?
Because (yawn) Hagler so was fuckin old-school and tough and went in there with Briscoe, Hart, etc, blah-blah, Petronelli Bros, blah, blah, thicker jawline, blah-blah, it makes him a machine?

Toney´s the greatest fighter from 160-190.
Superior skills, never dropped, never fuckin hurt.

  12. This is doggshit187's problem: he loves to romanticize about the '70s (and I agree: it's a great decade for stuff) but he always rambles on like an old faggot about Eugene 'Cyclone' Hart and 'Bad' Bennie Briscoe like they were 160lb Terminators.
Neither of these won a title.

    What a cunt.

Toney was dropped by Reggie Johnson, actually, "expert" ... you don't know shit from shinola

I was going to go into greater detail and smash you and your stupid argument to shit (congrats, you got a like from Double L.. a sure sign you've posted something profoundly idiotic) but I just don't care enough... you're not even serious, just a shit-stirring, trolling, cunting whore that needs his face smashed in with a sledgehammer...

You are a nostalgic mutherfucker. Everything before 1990 was "terrific" and "brilliant" with you. It is fucking hilarious!

You don't know up, down, left, right, front, back ... you don't know a fucking thing about anything

    You can't even spell motherfucker

The next time you're able to accurately convey what anyone else's point of view on anything ACTUALLY is will be the first time.

Your neighbors have definitely joked with one another about burning your house down with you sound asleep inside

You are fixated on pre-90's "craft." You are a pre-90s-boxerphile.

Only because he harkens back to the old. Unlike Pepp, you watched Whitaker live. Of course your favorite fighter is a guy you would've had the chance to watch live.

Whitaker is that rare modern fighter worthy of your favorite words like, "brilliant," and "terrific"

    cdogg187 GLADYS

So when does "modern" start? Whatever year you pull out of your ass? Whitaker was in his prime 30 years ago... is Joe Montana a "modern" QB?

First it was "pre-90s" but since Whitaker was an elite fighter for better than half that decade and is my favorite fighter, that doesn't work... my second favorite (Chavez) doesn't really work either

I'm not going to bother with a search but I'm willing to bet I've described Toney with those adjectives numerous times

You're just hitting out in a daft rage
