Pancreatic Cancer cuts him down at 62.

Great fighter, one of the best featherweights in history, and the second greatest Panamian fighter in history behind Duran.

    RIP champ.

As the years have passed my opinion has changed, as I'm fairly confident Pedroza would have beaten Sanchez. His style would have been a huge problem for Sal.

Who would win between Pedroza and Arguello?

I suspect Arguello because I have my doubts about Pedroza's chin holding up to Alexis' murderous power.

Another Panamanian, Marcel, outboxed Arguello, but two things... one, Marcel had a much better chin than Pedroza, and two, Arguello was still green.

    Sanchez didnt have Arguello's power.

Jesus, Tyson vs Ruddock could have had a separate scoring for the "Hit after the Bell" rounds.

RIP Eusebia Pedrazo. Arguably the greatest Costa Rican bantamweight since Eder "Hands of Sugar" Ramos.

    Bullshit.

Pedroza was the greatest Ecuadorian lightweight since Roberto Jofre.

He never fought any slick black Argentinians. I hold that against him.

He blatantly ducked the slickest and blackest Argentinian of them all, world-renowned humanitarian, Alexis Cesar Monzon.

Remember when Carlos Monsoon went up to fight Bad Bennie Brisket in Philadelphia? Didn't he duck De La Hoya?

These bums can'tr fight Ain't nobody tough anymore!!

I could have been a champion!! Great movie, On The Ponderosa, starring that guy Mason Brando and that kraut, what was his name, Ron Steiner.

He really had that 70's, 80's style of fighting where they almost seem to dance in the ring and were fluid as water.

Seems to be a Panamanian thing.

Marcel, Laguna, and Hilario Zapata were all silky smooth technicians. Jorge Lujan was a smooth technician as well, just on a lower tier than those three.

Zapata and Pedroza peaked around the same time. But obviously, Zapata didnt have Pedroza's longevity.

That's a golden age that the country of Panama will never see again. Circa 1980, Panama had Duran, Pedroza, and Zapata all in their primes.

Then you got a more recent Panamanian in Enselmo Moreno who was very smooth.

JUst reawatching that McGuigan fight, Barrys head movement and feints were great. Pedroza not quite what he was but McGuigan set a great pace, didn't eat every shot and showed a bit of cunning of his own. Great fight. Lot of skill.

He fought with such intensity, they made a movie called "St Enselmos Fire", starring his hated Guatemalan rival, Emilio Estevez

Seriously..........I never heard of this guy. Longest reigning Bantamweight of all times?

He looks like a cadaver they reheated for some photo shoots.

I watch McGugian-Pedroza all the time. Yeah, Barry fought a great fight.

I guess you could compare it to Hatton-Tszyu, but not really, because unlike the Humpman, McGuigan didnt need to fight dirty.

And unlike bitch ass Tszyu, Pedroza had heart for days.

Still, I doubt Mcguigan would have beaten the Pedroza of 4-5 years prior.

Moreno's most notable win was the clinic he put on Rat Faced Vic Darfaggot.
