Garcia's heart ain't much in boxing into boxing anymore either. I predict that Danny would retire after a Pac payday.
he should have given up the belts then been restored as a mandatory when he was healthy. I've never been a Thurman fan and sitting out two years doesn't give him another year and a half of free passes.
Disagree with one point... I'd love to see an old Floyd getting the brakes beaten off him by someone like Jesse Vargas. I don't want to see Pac take a Leonard vs. Norris type beating or a Leonard vs. Camacho type embarrassing loss either.
is vargas even capable of inflicting such a beating on a shot mayweather jr at this point? vargas is a bum, im not even sure he'll beat humberto soto
I agree that it's a pointless fight from a boxing standpoint, but it makes sense business-wise. Loma was ringside at Usyk-Bellew and would have seen how much wonga he could make from British casual fans knowing who he is. Saying that though, it makes no fucking sense holding the fight in the USA.
Mayweather Jr already been in the ring with Spence when he was still a young hungry Lion! Tbe fears nobody
Honestly I used to feel the same way, I've ALWAYS wanted to see Floyd KO'd and humbled. I really didn't want to see him retire undefeated. But somehow he's grown on me over the years. He's a prick, and despite a great career and a good selection of opponents, he did cherry pick too much post Castillo. But despite that, I can't help but admire his ability, and ironically he did become more watchable in the latter part of his career, more infighting etc. Well, the Berto and Pacquiao fights were pretty bad, but still ;) So I suppose purely as someone who admires him as a fighter, I wouldn't want to see him get waxed by someone he would have clowned in his prime, even though it would be kind of amusing. But yeah I agree, Pacquiao is the one I like and respect far more, his career is just unbelievable for a guy who started his career at 106 pounds, he's given us many great fights and epic beatings. I would be pretty sad if he took that kind of beating yeah, he deserves better. BTW do you think we'll see Floyd in the ring again, or do you think he'll carry on doing more freakshow fights?
Even if Mikey did have a 12 round sanctioned match with a shot, FAT, Morales, is that any worse than an actual sanctioned lineal 154 lb title fight (Floyd never lost and The Ring didn't give their title to Canelo) in a 0-0 McGregor?
This Makes NO Sense at All. It’ll Either Be a Completely Uninspiring, Wink-Wink, Friendly Exhibition Or a Geriatric Former Great Will Get Beaten Up. Either Way, NATHAN Positive Will Come From This, Which Makes You Wonder WHY Mikey Would Go This Route at All? There Can’t Be THAT Much Money Involved, to Make it Worth Mikey’s While. REED
It's an exhibition/fundraiser where most of the proceeds are going to Izaac Colunga and his team/family.
Calm down, bruh. I'm positive it's just a wink, wink friendly exhibition in which neither will try to do actual damage. OBVIOUSLY, Mikey would obliterate Morales at this point if he actually tried... but he wont try. It'll be extremely light. Speaking of Jofre, theres an exhibition between Jofre and Arguello on YouTube, if you guys wanted to look at it. Nothing at all to see by way of damage, just the two of them engaged in a totally friendly exhibition with oversized gloves on, where both are smiling and laughing the whole time. But still, it's worth watching cause well, its Jofre and Arguello in the ring together. Here it is:
What happened to the Duran vs Chavez exhibition that was supposed to take place a few years ago? Did the cartels convince Chavez not to go through with it?
