    In play for July.

    Good God.

I'm actually starting to like Tank, but since he took the title from Pedrazza, it's just been no hoper after no hoper.

Gamboa has been shot for 5 years now, and I don't expect him to last longer than 3-4 rounds against Davis at this point.

Time for Davis to step up. He actually might be a live dog against Loma, hopefully that fight gets made at some point.

davis kept crying about mayweather jr as his promoter. seems to me like davis has been gettin paid a lot of money for gimme fights so far in his career. he got his title shot vs pedraza coming off a long layoff and since then has faced zero threats and mostly smaller guys

Gamboa is a gate keeper now. I don’t expect him to trouble Davis at all.

Speaking of Lomachenko, he really is tiny. Look at him next to a regular size 135 pounder

He should really move back down to 130 and fight Davis. Even Pacquiao looked bigger at 135.

Lomachenko is still blazing fast at 135, but his lack of size, power and reach seems to be a problem. He's far less impressive at the weight than he was at feather and super feather.

But yeah, regarding Davis - he is good. I always thought he was underrated here on Fightbeat, it seems like me and @Slice N Dice are the only two that rate him. But what on earth is up with the steady diet of scrubs? Is it down to him or Floyd?

Why does everone bring up Floyd? Isnt Floyd just the figurehead of Mayweather Promotions?

Ellerbe is making these promotional decisions.

if lomachenko is gonna dilly dally with domestic level euro scrubs that are 100-1 underdogs he may as well face teofimo lopez next.

    I doubt it happens next.

Commey is being lined up for one of them next, either Loma or Lopez. I suspect maybe Lopez.

Ellerbe says Loma-Davis isnt happening anytime soon. Says it's not part of "the plan" they have for Davis.

How much longer before Tank can get out of his Mayweather contract? Theyre just gonna keep protecting him from any threats.

The time to make Loma-Davis is NOW! The pressure would be alllll on Loma in that fight, not Davis.

Loma is the one who is suppose to be a generational fighter. Meaning that, if Davis lost, they could still protect his stock and reputation. And if Davis WON, sky is the limit.

I'm sure the big homo Ellerbe's "plan" is for Loma to decline before Davis takes the fight. All so people can say "He beat a faded Loma."

Fight the man NOW you pussies. It's a now-closed situation for Tank, but they dont see it that way.

This is the never ending politics of the sport that keeps turning loyal fans of the sport away. Don King was corrupt as fuck, but he definitely got fights put together.

It looks to me like Davis is gonna be protected but that will end up back firing on them like it has some other fighters.

I guess it’s easier to write “Floyd” than “Mayweather promotions” or “Ellerbe”.

    Shit Fight...

1st of All, @ Gervonta's Age he Needs to Be BUSIER...PERIOD...Fought the Mares Replacement in Early February, if REED's Not Mistaken, Yet Won't Be Returning Until July???...Given Tank's LACK of Discipline Between Fights, a SMART Promoter Would Keep him ACTIVE @ Least...

Motherfucker Will Be in the 180's Again @ This Rate...

If Tank Doesn't @ Least Unify w/Tevin Farmer, Berchelt or Whomever This Year, 2019 Will Have Been a Complete WASTE in REED's Opinion...Ellerbe Can Talk About "Plans" All he Wants; There DOESN'T Appear to Be Any CLEAR Direction to Tank's Career...

I think we're looking at the Gamboa fight in July, then another no-hoper at the end of 2019. I'll bet my house nothing of significance happens for Tank this year.

I feel like Ellerbe and Floyd are taking advantage of Tank because he's low IQ.

Maybe but if he's stupid and gets out of shape in between fights wouldn't it increase the likelihood he could get upset by a motivated journeyman? You figure they would rather cash out than risk that happening.

    Exactly...

Do What Golden Boy's Doing w/Munguia...It's JUST Mid-April yet he's ALREADY Fought Twice in 2019...& Probably Would've Been Squeezed on the Canelo-Jacobs Undercard Had he Disposed of Hogan Early Doors...No Fucking Way Munguia Continues to Make '54 if he ISN'T Active....

Gervonta Means Well and Works HARD When in Camp, but he's NOT the Dude You Want Fighting Every 5-6 Months...He WILL Blow the Fuck Up in Between Bouts, w/THAT Much Downtime...

Wouldn't Surprise REED @ All if Tank was a Bit MISLEAD on Haymon and PBC's Involvement in his Career...Haymon Provides DATES, but "Mayweather Promotions" Makes All the Decisions, As Currently Constructed...

And Just Being Honest, REED Can Think of 3 "Mayweather" Fighters Total, Off the Dome...Tank, Angelo Leo (who just Fought on Shobox a Couple Fridays Ago) and J'Leon Love (Who Got STOPPED by David Benavidez on the Spence-Mikey Undercard)…

It's easy to have munguia fight more often than davis because hes probably not gettin paid a lot

Is davis willing to take fights for a couple hundred thousand to have 4 a year?

Technically, Munguia's in a "Co-Promotional" Deal w/Zanfer Promotions and Golden Boy...

Not Sure WHO'S Getting WHAT Financially, But There's Extra Hands in the Pot For Sure...
