Ivan Baranchyk on Instagram: “I look forward to fighting Josh Taylor in the @wbsuperseries semifinal on May 18, 2019 in Glasgow.” Baranchyk finally confirms that this fight is a go. Thoughts? I've got Taylor stopping him within 6-8 rounds. Baranchyk is an open target, and his chin isn't the most sturdy. Baranchyk will bring it though, so it'll be fun while it lasts.
haven't really seen Taylor fight. If he's as good as you claim, he should beat Bar quite easily. Bar is a good solid fighter, but an elite one would destroy him
Taylor's Got Some Stylistic Similarities to Loma... For What it's Worth, Regis Prograis Respects the Shit Out of Josh Taylor, Yet Gives Baranchyk a Legit Chance of Pulling the Upset... REED
Well, for what its worth, behind Loma and Usyk, Taylor is the third best white southpaw in the sport. But in all seriousness, Taylor will definitely wipe the floor with Baranchyk. Whether he's ELITE or not, we'll find out in the Prograis fight, but he might be.
I'll have to disagree with Reg... Barachyk's chances are slim. Barachyk went life and death with Abel Ramos. I'd be pretty goddamn surprised if he beat Taylor.
Relikh has a better chance of beating Prograis than Baranchyk has of beating Taylor. But I figure both guys should win convincingly and meet in the final as everyone expects. Let's pray to the boxing Gods that we have Taylor-Prograis and Inoue-Donaire in the fall.
6 days away from this one as well. My prediction remains unchanged. Taylor will stop Baranchyk in 6-8, in a one sided beatdown.
Inoue vs Rodriguez is the same day. Rodriguez looked very good against weaker opposition but struggled in the first round. Also, Inoue is a special talent. I expect Monster to win in about seven
Intangibles Will Determine the Winner of This Fight... Such As, Which Man STEPS INTO THE LIIIIIIIIGHTS Most Effectively... Compu-Box Will Provide Stats... REED
Intangibles probably wont come into play. Theres a big gap in talent and skill between them. Taylor is gonna put a beat down on Ivan. BUT... Ivan will go down swinging.
First two rounds pretty close. Taylor does the more sustained work but Baranchyk attacks well every now and then
