Paul Pierce doesn't get tired of being wrong. Not only does he think he was better than Wade, he also thinks Thurman would beat Spence.

I think wade at his best was better than pierce and better than any shooting guard not named jordan that I saw hoop

Pierce was pretty damn good though and hasn't been retired that long so it's to be expected for him to have the type of ego he does

I was a fan of Pierce. I liked his game, and I liked his trash talk. But at no point was he ever near the caliber of a Wade or Kobe.

But I won't just stop there, McGrady and Iverson also peaked higher than Pierce. I would argue that Vince Carter peaked higher as well, but that one is close.

What Pierce has going for him is longevity. He was VERY GOOD for a very long time. But Wade was GREAT, and special. I would argue that Pierce was never a great player, and he wasn't a special one.

As for Wade for being better than any two guard not named Mike... the Wade vs Kobe debate will go on forever.

Kobe has a clear advantage in terms of greatness because he accomplished more, and had far better longevity. In terms of actual peak play... it's a lot closer. I would say that Kobe also had the better peak, but an argument can be made for Wade in the that instance.

Kobe would be better than Wade in today's era because he was a decent 3-point shooter

Kyle Lowry is one of the most overrated players that's ever played the game.

I know. I'm happy. I always liked DJ. Glad he finally found success in the league. He's always been a deadly shooter.

Lowry is a bum in the playoffs. He really is.

Clips pull off the greatest comeback in playoff history, 31-points down to the dynasty Warriors in Oakland and still winning

Always liked Beverley (even when he played with Harden). He's a scrappy little fucker.

OKC sweeps Portland during the regular season. Portland sweeps OKC in the playoffs. Yeah, that sounds like the upcoming narrative.

The only thing Vince Carter had over Pierce was talent and talent was all Carter lived on. Pierce had a much better career than Carter who was a frustrating disappointment that never lived up to expectations because he was lazy and heartless.

Yep he has a torn quad. Amazing, that as good as he was he may never be able to stay healthy enough to get a max contract. He missed getting his max contract last season by just a few months.

Paul george is gonna have to play a whole lot better for okc to advance, because Lillard is dominating his matchup

I already knew that whoever OKC played was basically getting gift wrapped a free trip to the second round. The funny thing is Portland was actually trying to avoid matching up with OKC as their first round opponent and I would have picked OKC to lose against every team in the playoffs both east and west conference.

Even funnier is you still have some talking head idiots out there still giving OKC a chance in this series.

Westbrook played decent but as a team they never figured out how to contain lillard all series

Hard to guard him when hes making deep, contested shots like that

If you want links to all of the things I wrote, I'd be happy to oblige. But I'm not going to use my time for nothing, if I do it, you have to admit he's trash and a fool for even arguing that he isn't. Deal?

Also, the only place that it's even an argument on who the better player between Harden vs Westbrook is here.

I could be a jackass and gloat and talk shit to you & Reed about Westbrook getting bounced in the 1st round for the 3rd straight time but I'm not. You guys are fans of the dude and I'm not. I think he's a dumb player that hasn't improved, and to be frank, is a gimmick.

For all the stats Westbrook isn't a top 5 point guard to me

WB shot 11-31. Missing 20 shots (more than the rest of the team combined) is VERY hard to overcome for any team.

I wouldn't call that decent, I'd call it detrimental to winning basketball. Okc going to have to make some tough decisions this off season.

It was a good game though, Dame has ice water in his veins, killed my Rockets 5 yrs ago.

I agree, Barkley said move him to shooting guard, not sure how that would work out.

Shooting guards who aren't consistent shooters and play average to below average defense ain't ideal

Okc needs to get more shooting to go with George. IF you surround Westbrook with consistent shooters maybe he himself will shoot less and just be a drive and kick type guy which he can do. Adams has value but isnt really a great fit with the team as it's currently constructed so perhaps they can deal him for a big with range

Russ is in decline, which means he's screwed, cause it's not like ever had great IQ and skill to begin with.

He's served his purpose in that he was always exciting to watch, and he's one of the most athletic players the game has ever seen. But he's not a guy you win with. That's just a fact at this point.

For what it's worth, like 8 years ago there was a debate about who would turn out to have the best career out of Rose, Westbrook, and Wall, and due to injuries to Rose and Wall, Westbrook won that debate.

Then yeah post it because like I said I absolutely don’t believe most of that stuff you’re saying. And if all you plan on doing is posting some talking heads article saying the same thing I’m just going to disagree because like I said I watch every game and I doubt that those talking heads do.

I listened to a podcast that made a very good point. The point was that even though everyone is coming down on Westbrook what is really killing this team is that in the playoffs (up until that last game) both Westbrook and George were shooting around the same terrible percentage. I thought it was a good point and not to make an excuse for Russ who definitely played terribly.

I honestly felt for months that George has been given way too much of a pass on his terrible play being a result of a sore shoulder when in fact he has a history of having a month or two of MVP like play followed by a big drop off.
