    How say the forum?

Much as my heart wants to see Jacobs stomp a hole in the little bastard, I'm gonna go with what my brain is telling me... Canelo will win. I've never trusted Jacobs' chin, "to this DAY".

I think Canelo will hurt/drop him at some point, which will be enough to sway an otherwise close affair in Alvarez's favor.

Danny is a good technician, but not a good ENOUGH technician to give him a big enough edge over Ginger.

If there's anybody at middle who has the style to beat Canelo, it's Andrade.

I don't think Danny will get it done.

From the Moment the Fight was Signed REED Thought Canelo's Superior In-Fighting Would Be Enough to Stop Jacobs Late OR Win a Deserved UD...

Jacobs is a solid pro and I think a few years ago he could/would have won this. Canelo has learned a lot over the years, incrementally improved and is in his prime.

If Alvarez could go 24 rounds with Golovkin the chance of Jacobs winning by knockout seem out of the question. The opposite happening is a real possibility. If it goes to the distance how likely is it that Canelo loses on points? Everything points to an Alvarez win.

    Canelo wins.

I believe six or eight years from now, old GGG's close bouts against Canelo will be seen as an achievement instead of a letdown

Breaking: Saul "Canelo" Alvarez was announced as a unanimous decision winner over Daniel Jacobs, four days prior to their scheduled bout on Saturday night.

Jacobs would have to win 10 out of 12 rounds in order to secure a split decision loss, or would have to win by knockout to secure a draw.

Alvarez is playing with house money... he knows it, Jacobs knows it

Alvarez can win doing the bare minimum whereas Jacobs must beat Canelo's brains in to have any chance at winning ... this means he must take more risks, which of course gives Canelo even more opportunities

Imagine having to give a cancer survivor this kinda speech...

"Danny, I know you beat cancer, but that's nothing compared to having to beat Oscar's judges."

There's a limit to the number of gifts Canelo can get.

He's currently at three, and you could even argue four, since open scoring was gifted to him in the Trout fight.

But yeah, in my book, the Juicing Ginger has lost 4 fights.

I don't think Canelo ever got a real gift (even the draw in the first GGG fight was arguable imo), but he always get the advantage of the doubt.

Didn't he win on one of the judge's cards against PbF?

    Golovkin 1 was a gift.

97% of the world had Golovkin winning the fight clearly.

    Sure did.

What irony.... De La Cokehead wanted to launch an investigation into boxing judging after he lost the Mosley rematch. Now look at him, the promoter with the MOST corrupt judges.

I won't argue too much with that one, cause I was drunk and looking at it on a shitty stream.

Ya know, on second thought, Jacobs' chances at a decision aren't impossible.

Fast Eddie has a lot of cash to throw around. Maybe he'll pay the judges more than Oscar offers them.

Tom Loeffler didn't have the kinda pull that Neddy Earn has.

Plus, you figure that a Jacobs win means a rematch. That's more money for GBP, Matchroom, and DAZN.

So, maybe Danny does have a chance at a decision.

In REED's Opinion, the Only FOR SURE Gift Canelo Received was the 1st Triple G Fight...Giving Canelo EVERY SINGLE Benefit of EVERY SINGLE Bit of Doubt, he Still LOST That Fight 7-5...8-4, 9-3 was More Realistic...

Erislandy Lara Didn't BEAT Canelo, Per Se, but a Draw Wouldn't Have Been Offbase Either...Not Sure Why People Bitch About the Trout-Open Scoring Thing...BOTH FIGHTERS KNEW IT WAS OPEN SCORING GOING INTO THE FIGHT!!!...

Does Anyone Actually Think Trout BEAT Canelo that Night?...

All That Said, CJ Ross Scoring Floyd-Canelo 114-114 was CRIMINALLY Absurd...Adelaide Byrd's 118-110 Card in Canelo-Golovkin I was even Worse...The Vegas Commission Should Be ASHAMED Byrd's Name was Even in the POOL of Judges for Canelo-Jacobs...CLEARLY, She was On the Take That Night and/or INEBRIATED...

Either Way, She's Not Fit to Score a Meaningful Boxing Match EVER Again...

jacobs should just box a smart fight. use his length and movement and win as decisively as he can in the eyes of the fans/media. if he tries to get over aggressive going for a KO then he may open himself up to getting hurt or dropped and lose legitimately.

at least with the former scenario he is likely to get a few more paydays down the line in rematches with alvarez or golovkin

    Trout vs Canelo

Because during the course of the fight, Trout knew he was getting gypped and had to alter his gameplan... the open scoring completely changed the match and yeah a lot of people STILL thought he won the fight even with the deck comically stacked against him

The point is not whether or not these fights were ROBBERIES (I don't think I'd really class any of them that way... Whitaker/Ramirez; Everett/Escalera... THOSE are robberies... decisions that nobody can possibly defend honestly; other than maybe D MAN) but that every benefit of a doubt CLEARLY went Alvarez's way ... every bit of gray area became solidly colored in his favor. Austin Trout learned that after 8 rounds, Stanley Christodoulou had scored the fight as if Alvarez were boxing a heavy bag for 24 minutes... that's criminal
