A large robotman who looks like he learned boxing from the SEGA Genesis game "Greatest Heavyweights" vs a garishly costumed basketball player who throws retard right hands and makes mushmouthed death threats
Yep. Thought as much since day 1. Yeah he looks like a wild sloppy bum, but he has faster hands, a better chin, and far more power. And Joshua is plenty hittable.
Maybe. I don't think Dontay has a granite chin, but it appears solid enough. He's never been dropped or seriously hurt has he? I'm not convinced by Joshua's chin. I think he would have been knocked down and hurt more often if he was more wild like Danté.
Yeah I was rooting for Ortiz to finish him off, and was pretty salty when Wilder came back and won. But he was more hurt from sustained punishment, and ultimately he wasn't knocked down or THAT close to being stopped. Put it this way, even though I was rooting heavily for Ortiz I wasn't left thinking "Wow Wilder has a glass chin".
Gotta disagree, I think he was a couple of punches away from getting stopped. Also worth remembering the ref gave him a huge breather for no reason at the start of the next round.
You're right, he was close to being stopped, it felt like Ortiz would stop him any minute. Not sure why I said he wasn't badly hurt. But I maintain his chin seems OK, it was more of a sustained beating Ortiz put on him than single punches. Morales and Barrera both got stopped from sustained beatings from Pacquiao, you wouldn't exactly call either of them chinny would you?
Why would you hate to admit this though? You have called them both bums on several occasions and that the whole division is in ruins. Why would you care about the result?
I think it's about the same in terms of what it takes to get him hurt, but it seems to take AJ longer to recover. He needed a round or two against both Whyte and Klitschko to get his feet back under him again, and you also have to factor in the stamina issues he had against Wlad (which to be fair to him, haven't really re-surfaced since).
Yeah I would agree with that, which is probably why my overall impression is that Wilder has a better chin.
He hasn't fought anyone as good as Wlad, even that version of Wlad, before or since. Only Fury of all of these guys knows how to shut down a dangerous offence.
Not disagreeing with that, am just saying the stamina issues haven't presented themselves since their fight despite going late into bouts since, although obviously he wasn't in the same kind of firefight.
