Unlikely, Diaz is a pretty legit BJJ guy, and Conor is not. The choke was tight, but that's almost beside the point. The point is, he didn't even try. He basically quit before Diaz even sunk the choke in, turtled up, offered his back, and tapped immediately. He wanted out, basically.

Even in WMMA, both these fighters have refused to tap, and been choked unconscious and also had their arm broken. That's what they were prepared to do. When the going gets tough, McTapper just taps immediately.
