Aye, Pepatitis is obviously a good tactician, won't deny that, but he took over a riduculous Barcelona side, moved on to Bayern Munich when they'd basically bought the best players from any club who could challenge them, then from there he goes to a club funded by Arab oil money with an already absurdly strong side (basically two world class XI's in one squad). Now potentially he could move on to a club which has Cristiano Ronaldo in its line up and has won the last seven domestic titles. Nobody is asking him to take over Burnley, but as Irish and McDogg said, what about a club like Napoli or Arsenal? Big clubs that are underachieving. That would be genuinely impressive. Fuck that prick.

It cuts both way, the richest clubs want Pep because he's a proven winner and transforms the style of play in a very characteristic and dominant way, which leads to league titles over a 35-40 game season. No point in speculating how he would do at Burnley because his qualities are so obvious that he will always (or for now at least) be in demand by clubs with resources which allow him to play to his strengths. The problem for him is that Man City has for the past 5 years been set up entirely to serve his needs and requirements, it's unlikely he will have it as good elsewhere.

I do agree he is a fantastic tactician, it's obvious when you see the esteem great players hold him in, but he's never had to really build a team, he's always been at a place which has unlimited resources or close to it. I get what you're saying in that the best clubs are always going to seek him out because of his track record but I dunno, I just can't put him in the same echelons as other great coaches, Klopp even had to build that Liverpool side into what it is now, all of Guardiola's teams have basically been ready-made.

    This times ten

Klopp knocked Bayern off the perch for two years in the modern day Bundesliga and did it not with the dour, crafty, paranoid negativity of Mourinho's Chelsea but with an appealing, attractive, positive football

And even with all that I think Klopp has the better head to head record vs both Pep and Mourinho. At the very least I believe it's close even with the massive difference in resources.

Pep's style for want of a better word is made for winning league competitions but there is no doubt questions about his in game decision making in the more unpredictable cup knockout format, he seems to struggle to make the make adjustments when things are up in the air, it tends to be plan A or plan A

How do you feel about that? Mixed feelings I will bet mate.

This is the week now for Liverpool.

    This is the week.

Best of luck to them, really need this, it would border on something worse than hilarity if we can't get this.

During February, Deirdre was in negotiations with Fred for him to install an enhanced cyber-security system for 3rd party data held by Deirdre.

Deirdre was under an obligation to have the system in place by May 1, otherwise her insurance premium would be increased by €10,000. Deirdre and Fred had agreed the price for the work (€50,000) and the completion date (April 15). Although Deirdre and Fred were satisfied that there was nothing else left to agree, they wanted the agreement put into a legally binding contract and so asked their respective lawyers to do this.

However, while their lawyers were continuing to negotiate over small details of the final contract, Fred told Deirdre on March 10 that unless he began work on the project soon, he would not be able to guarantee that he could have the work completed by the April 15 deadline. Both Deirdre and Fred agreed that Fred could start work immediately because they were in agreement over the main issues and what was left to agree was just “for the lawyers”.

On April 1, Fred called Deirdre to say that as they were working on the cyber-security system it had become clear that due to the delay in starting the project because the lawyers could not get their act together, he would be unable to make the April 15 deadline.

Deirdre said that this was unacceptable since Fred had promised to be able to complete the project if he was allowed to start it on March 10. Fred said that as they still did not have a contract in place, he was under no legal obligation to continue working on the project at all. However, he said if Deirdre would pay Fred for two additional programmers, at a total cost of €5,000 in addition to the agreed €50,000, the project could still be completed by the April 15 deadline.

    Deirdre reluctantly agreed.

The project was completed on April 15 without a formal written contract having been signed. Deirdre has now told Fred that she will only pay the €50,000 that they had initially agreed but not the extra €5,000 that she had promised. She did not believe that Fred had ever employed the additional programmers. Advise Fred as to his legal position under the law of contract in these circumstances.

I've basically spent the past 2 weeks re-learning contract law from scratch and I came up with the same conclusion.

Fuck me my head is melted!!

But course, just saying "Fred get's Fifty" won't cut it on exam day, details, details, preparation, preparation, preparation.

I tried to break it down to identify if there was a valid oral/verbal agreement, and more importantly, where it first arose.

Other key issue is the use of the word "guarantee" and it's true meaning.

Contract is already specifically performed.........there is the possibility of fraud vis a vis his two allegedly fictional workers.

I am still working my way through most of the law but I gave answering that question a shot.

    That's actual KINGS INN {barrister question}
