Disappointed by Gorman. Expected more to be honest. What was with that wild swinging left hand? Left him vulnerable. Dubois just too determined and solid for him.

 

Dubois was too polished by far. None of the shots DuBois landed were finishers, they just had that effect on a guy who seemed totally out of his depth.

 

Yeah, think I thought Gorman was a bit better than he actually is. Dubois proved to be more polished but I'm still not sold on him.

 

Andy Ruiz has people believing in the fatties again, and this has raised expectations of even truly mediocre fatties.

Re-watched the Dubois fight earlier. There are things I like about him. His mentality for one. There's no trash-talking with him, he just wants to get down to business and I respect that. He has a pretty good jab and power too.

He's what you say he is but he's a bit undynamic.

 

I want to like dubois, but he sucks. More robotic than robotic ass joshua. I really hate the way he throws his right hand. Its not telegraphed, its sent via messenger pigeons.

 

Finally got round to watching the fight. Dubois is a strong kid, obviously has a bit of pop in that right hand, I like his jab, nice and sharp. He's way too straight up though, falls in when throwing the right, no head movement, was getting countered by Gorman constantly despite Gorman being hampered by being shit. Second echelon level at best imo.

Dubois looks like an established pro. Gorman looked like a bare knuckle brawler that got a title shot.
