I said before that he reminds me a bit of Gomez... Cdogg weirdly said that he's like Pipino Cuevas, which I dont get cause Inoue is a far better technician than Cuevas. I can't say that I think Inoue is AS good as Gomez - Bazooka (the REAL Bazooka, fuck Ike Quartey) was truly special at 122. Gomez was a better technician than Inoue with more natural talent, but the similarities are there.
We'll have to wait and see but he's my favorite fighter now. Japanese old timers are already calling him the greatest Japanese fighter ever. Now listen up please: Harada fought for many, many years. They are referring to pure skill and power, not longevity.
And who TF says that Harada wasnt skilled? Dude was one of the most skilled pressure fighters ever. Karl's making him sound like Ruslan Provodnikov.
If we stay on track, Inoue still has a ways to go before he's Gomez. At 122, I'd rate Gomez as one of the top 10 best offensive fighters the sport has ever had.
He was a good fighter Ruslan he just didn't have real stopping power. Try reading my original post OK - for the third time I am asking you and pay attention this time. Japanese boxing people have told me that. Ones who have been following boxing far longer than you and I. These guys saw Harada fight and some know him.
"Look at the two skill wise and Inoue blows him away." Yes, easy to see how X misunderstood this incredibly subtle remark
What do Japanese old-timers have to do with anything? If old-timers from Argentina said Sergio Martinez was greater than Carlos Monzon would you automatically co-sign on that?
Well unfortunately for us, we have no access to watching ANY of Harada's fights, so there's no way we can compare! I mean, it's not like BOTH Jofre fights, both Medel fights, both Kingpech fights, and the Cabarallo fight are on YouTube. Ohhh wait, they are!
Inoue fights absolutely nothing like Gomez and doesn’t really show the same kind of skill set. Inoue’s style is more like Trinidad if you want to compare him to a Rican. But as Cdogg says he fights eerily similar to Cuevas. Him being better or worse than Cuevas really has nothing to do with it.
Was about to sound off but I watched some Inoue highlights and actually, yeah, I can see the Trinidad comparison. Nice loose guard, whipping left hook, I guess time will tell if he's equally inept at avoiding a fucking jab.
