You guys are going too easy on Yarde.

He's leap amateur garbage and Kov being washed up is the ONLY reason he had his moments.

If Yarde had walked in there and gone all out from round 1, he could have done damage.

He was too busted up by the 8th for it to be any more than a sort of La-Motta vs Ray Robinson 12th round of their last fight........

He took a beating in the end and fighters rarely take a beating from Kovalev and go on to great great things.

Yarde's dumb as a fencepost and it's probably too late for any trainer to fix him.

What belt could Yarde win? The champs at 175 are pretty good and he probably just lost to the worst one.

I don't really believe kovy is washed up. He just white washed alvarez and he looked pretty good against Yarde bar a couple of rounds.

And is Kovalev really the worst champ at 175???

Bivol looked a lot more crappy against a past it pascal than kovy did against a prime one, and Gvozdyk only won againts Stevenson cause the old man was totally spent.

Yarde isn't untalented but he's very unskilled and it's too late to truly teach him ... if he can improve, it's only in a modest fashion

This and what slice said.........there's just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many "Coaches and Boxing Instructors" wandering around England in general and London in particular.

Every fucker fancies himself as a "Coach".........and Yarde has been feasting on bums and half-hopes and getting by on raw talent and physicality.

In the Brit press the story is being spun as a monumental near-upset.

In fact he had a dead man in front of him, didn't know it, and blew his chance to win.

I just watched the highlights, nice little fight. Yarde is indeed a leap amateur but he's fairly game so good on him.

Weird thing about Yarde is he's learned some of the more advanced boxing skills, for example I saw him pull off Floyd's pull-counter successfully a couple of times. He's clearly been watching YouTube videos of great fighters and teaching himself some moves whilst completely forgetting to do the basics.

Quite enjoy his style, must admit. Hes haphazard and sorta mindless but theres all these really nice moves sprinkled here and there to enjoy. Super entertaining

Yeah, hes like a soccer player thats is excellent when it comes to trickshots (bicycle, volley etc) and over-use them, while being pretty poor in all the other aspects of the game

    Harsh...

He May Never Win a World Title, But Having Now Seen Yarde Under Fire, REED's Fairly Impressed...There's SUBSTANCE There...

To REED's Memory, Only Chilemba's Taken THAT Many Hard, Flush Shots from Kovalev and Lasted as Looooooooooooooong as Yarde Did…And Yarde HAD His Moments Indeed...The Mid Rounds Body Shot Barrage NEARLY Won the Fight for Him...He Also Showed Decent Stamina Considering His Muscles and Work Rate...

Yes, Kov is Diminished, But What's Being Overlooked is McGuirt's Impact On Him...w/Out McGuirt, Kovalev Likely Gets KO'ed in the Alvarez RE and Probably Would've Elected to Stand and Trade w/Yarde Yesterday...McGuirt Reawakened Kovalev's Jab, Which Was Ultimately What WON Him the Fight...

ASSuming Yarde Isn't Heart Broken and This Wasn't a Cash-Out Fight, He'll Make for Some FUN Fights Over the Next 3-5 Years...He Also Just MIGHT Catch the Wrong Champion Slipping Some Night...

    Future Great? No...Garbage? No...

For Sure, Yarde Needs to Be LESS "Cute" In His Next Bouts...He Fancies Himself a BOXER, Yet Showed the Fortitude of a FIGHTER and Needs to Perform in THAT Capacity Moving Forward...

REED Loooooooooooooves His Confident, Shit Talking Brothers, but Tunde Ajayi's PEDIGREE Doesn't Seem to Match his Opinion of Himself...Like JOM, REED Calls BS on Yarde NOT Sparring @ All in Training Camp, But Even the Insinuation of it is Unnecessary...

Mexican Trainers Like Robert Garcia, Abel Sanchez or Eddy Reynoso Would Be Good Fits Based on Yarde's Abilities...They're Not Really "ME" Guys the Way Ajayi Seems to Be Either...

Nah it's in Lewisham on Deptford Green down the back of the "Venue" nightclub near New Cross Gate. About a 10 minute stroll from Queens Road Peckham.

That red bag in the photo.........I actually got credit from an old timer in there who watched me hit it and told me I had " a good dig on you"....felt massive after that so I did.

Funny to say.................I never did think that a former HW World Champ/Cruiser champ would ever stand in front of the same Heavy bag that I did.

Too bad it had to be Haye

Good work bud. Do you still go there?

I know Haye used to have his gym under the arches in Bermondsey, kind of near Maltby Market, but it was a private gym when he was fighting, was wondering if he might have opened it up to the public or something now that he's retired.

Did you ever think that bag would become used for fat chick boxercise classes?

Yes because I was in there when they were in there. The gym had to stay open. The girl hitting the bag is called Marnie and she's full of Blarney, I can assure you. She went to Goldsmiths University across the street where she studied Woke things. The same "University" just banned beef from its canteens and restaurants.

No mate I lost that job I had in Southwark Council and thus ended my days in SE London, by Christmas at least. I enacted the labour of traveling across London one last time in January 2015 and never went again. Just too far.

The gym under the arches in Bermondsey MIGHT be Rooneys gym, You can pay up to £70 a month for membership of that place. It's definitely under the arches but it's right beside London Bridge, between London Bridge and Southwark Council.

EDIT: just checked it out.......it's permanently closed down now, Rooneys. Rents probably too high.

I took a month in there too but it was all this "OK OK everybody get a partner..........OK OK everybody in boxing stance please".

............Uhhh...........can somebody please set the clock to 20 1.5 minute sessions with 25 seconds rest and just let us get a proper sweat going please?

Not sure how much of a prospect Yarde is now. Most people who get El Sparko by Kov don't add up to too much.

Yarde lost again, against some up-and-comer. He did have physical talent but apparently his lack of skill is too big to overcome
