Plus, Brendan Rodgers showing he made 100% the correct decision in moving to Leicester City and is proving to be a brilliant acquisition.
The way he has got them all playing is refreshing - breath of fresh air - just what the Premier League desperately needs.

Right decision for Celtic, too. He was taking us backwards....or maybe more accurately, side to side aimlessly and endlessly. Signing record was an unfolding disaster, too.

Besides the improved recruitment we're also much better organised and more direct in europe under Lennon- a much more pragmatic & effective set up. And these are things i expected on day one when other tims were having kittens about it being a backwards step blahblah. It isnt. Lennon's expertise might be narrower but its highly specialised in exploiting our wee niche.

In any case when Lennon whispers in my ear at night i know its true and i sleep serenely and thats the main thing. The same meals taste better. He isnt scurrying off in the morning to furtively bleach his big donkey teeth to impress other girls. ONE NEIL LENNON

United lead 1-0 in what the BBC are describing as shit half of football.

Bookies have Arsenal 9-1 to win.

Fucking hell, that's Ferguson-era odds for a Man United half-time lead over Arsenal.

    Anyone fancy a PUNT?

Rodgers was described on Irish radio recently as "always having been a good manager he just talked too much".

Next weekend is a major major test for Liverpool.

But of course we have to get thru Wednesday first.

I think Ox and Shaq are good enough to play in a Liverpool team that beats RB Salzburg.

"I fear Arsenals inability to assert themselves in midfield is due a lack of imagination and attacking flair in the midfield three. Lewis from Leeds"

One harkens back to a time, not so long ago, when NOBODY in Leeds would have given TWO FUCKS what was happening at Old Trafford on a pissy Monday night.

I mean, you don't have to go back so far.

Today, "Lewis"....."From Leeds"...........is contacting the BBC to tell them what he thinks is wrong with Arsenal.

    SMFH.

"Hoegelbaum" is apparently Andreas Perreiras final name. He's Brazilian. I guess his people came over from Germany. Suddenly. Around 1945. In May.

Man Utd-Arsenal games haven't been worth watching for about 12 years now, it's a shame as they were the highlight of the Premier League season for a long old time. Those days are loooong gone now.

Mourinho is an annoyingly good pundit. I wish he'd stay there instead of going back to being a whiney cunt manager again, which will inevitably happen.

Mourinho is the perfect pundit. He knows football, presumes the viewer doesn't, and spells it out for them.

It's why he basically failed as a manager over a long period at any one place.

He's got a life-span on any given day of about an hour.....

The current circumstances of both clubs was instantly demonstrated by the two captains who led out the sides.

Manchester United's captain was 34-year-old Ashley Young, pressed into defensive service by Aaron Wan-Bissaka's absence through injury, and Arsenal were led by Granit Xhaka, newly appointed and a divisive figure among supporters.

Young led from the front in a fashion by regularly contesting decisions, showing a remarkable knack of getting to referee Kevin Friend in an instant on numerous occasions.

Xhaka's night will be best remembered for his contribution to United's goal - getting away with a foul in the build-up before appearing to take evasive action as McTominay's drive made its way into the top corner."

Celtic announce a reduced £11m profit but for june to june, thus excluding most our summer business including the £25m recieved for tierney.... basically we're up 51 million in 26 months which would put us comfortably among europes top 5-10 most profitable clubs, nestled besides spanish and english TV-star teams with 4-5x the revenue. Is this prudence or piss taking? Not sure

    Real Madrid held.

    2-2.

They are in bother now. 1 point from 2 games from a team that have won 3 of the last 4 European Cups, IIRC.

More proof that CR7 was basically winning those trophies by himself. Look how shite they've been since he left.

Yeah but its coming out Slick.

You know what makes me laugh..........people turn around and say things like "Oh, I don't know how much longer Kane and Alli will put up with this".

Sure. Like none of this was on them either.

Serge Gnabry. Not good enough for West Bromwich Albion, apparently.

Remember all those fun times when you could go on the BBC and see opinions like........"I am not sure teams like Valencia are any match for Bolton" and guff like that........"Fulhams run in Europe proves they are the match of anyone"........

The BBC have a little thumbs up/thumbs down thing for their updates.

Spurs 2-7 Bayern has like 200 dislikes and 1800 likes.

    Spurs are hated.

Just looking at that group...........I would put a tenner on Spurs to still get out of it. It's Spursy and it's Spurs, the other teams are not great. Red Star and a bankrupt Olimpiakos.

I would bet Spurs just manage it by some Spursy method.

Whilst I agree with you that people massively overrate the depth of our league in comparison to others around Europe, this isn't an equivalent of Spurs, it's Bayern Munich, who've won the Bundesliga for the past seven years in a row :D

Liverpool did them 3-1 on their own ground.

Spurs have GOT to be better than 7-2 at home against ANYONE.

I mean, Spurs took the LEAD!!!

Man City and Liverpool are miles ahead of the rest of the Premier League though, they're the direct comparisons with Bayern. I agree though, no team should be losing 2-7 at home.

    But I think...you're wrong though.
