Ggg is probably past it, still it remains that everytime he faced a top guy (and no lemieux doesnt count), the decision was contentious. I dont think he has a claim as a top 10 mw
Well to be honest, the only reason this wasnt a blowout is because ggg is shot. He looked worse than your herpes ravaged whore of a mother after a week end at a crack house
Golovkin looked pretty much the same as he did in the rematch with Alvarez. Did you see that one, boxing fan? Then again you're the guy who described derevyanchenko as "pretty sucky"
The next fight will go down exactly as I predict unless it doesn't because of reasons I failed to take into account. Therefore my prediction on the next fight is still accurate.
Did you throw down $$ on Dero? It was actually a good punt - I was not at all confident in GGG but took the safe option and feel pretty lucky.
Nope. I might've if I was in Vegas, depending on the odds on him via decision. I never wager online. The fact that dazn has invested nearly 500 million in alvarez and golovkin was worrying and never boded well for derevyanchenko actually getting a decision. They desperately need that third fight to justify the contracts they gave to each guy
There is something to say about the fact that Golov struggled with the only 3 good middleweights he faced in his career. Golov should go down as a "very good". He fell short of great.
Not the greatest resume for sure, but saying only 3 good middleweights he faced is quite the stretch. You also have to take into account that those 3 good middleweights he faced all happened after the age of 35.
Yes, Golovkin's resume is clearly lacking to be included among the very best, but lets remember that Hopkins' record from 160 lbs is pretty damn thin (albeit long) too
When it comes to Hopkins the only guy he beat at 160 that would have a chance against GGG is Tito and that's purely styles. I also don't see Jermain Taylor beating Gennady, but again it's different styles and Bernard was also past his best days even though he aged extremely well.
Meh. Glad I didn't buy this fight. GGG probably past it. Lot of hard fights, lot of training camps, lot of amateur fights, never had it easy, should go and retire I think. He never lost to Clenelo in my opinion.
I only saw highlights, but from the little I did see he appeared slower and more hittable than ever before. I agree that he seriously has to consider retirement. If he fights Clenelo a third time he'll lose, and lose legitimately.
"Styles" my ass. Trinidad was a better fighter than Golovkin, in a P4P sense at least. It's almost insulting to Tito, as he's a greater fighter than Golovkin by a lot.
