We get that a shark can’t lean on a boat of that size and tip it up in the air. A shark also wouldn’t swim around with an air tank hanging out it’s mouth chomping on it like it was chewing tobacco. The obvious stuff out of the way you got anything else?

Did you actually read that article because the guy sounds like he’s full of shit. I agree killing sharks for sport or as a deterrence is wrong but I can’t stand when people try to act like sharks aren’t dangerous or don’t actually occasionally kill people.

For him to blame any hunting of sharks on a fictional film and book from the 70’s when there are decades of actual shark attack fatalities at the governments disposal is fucking ludicrous. The guy in that article sounds like a fucking retard.

 

The point is that Jaws was laughably off-base about sharks, for fuck's sake

Sharks don't in fact make a habit of attacking people and they certainly aren't vindictive

The entire premise of a rogue, man-eating Great White is ludicrous fiction

Peter Benchley spent the better part of his life lamenting that had he known more about Sharks, he never would've written the goddamned book in the first place

The scientific facts about sharks were ignored completely

I think the biggest misconception the mainstream has is that sharks "eat" people. The myth of the man eater is entirely false.

It's not like tigers, lions, bears, who actually have been known to kill and EAT people.

Virtually all shark fatalities occur when a person is confused with a seal, and the shark takes a chunk outta them thinking it's their normal prey.

Of course, sharks have razor sharp, serrated teeth, so their bites result in massive tissue damage/blood loss, which can easily cause death.

But sharks dont actually like eating human flesh. They like seals.

 

Humans weren't meant to swim in the fucking ocean.

 

What have humans contributed to the world? Nothing.

Humans have contributed for the good of HUMANS... not the world.

Sharks have a different perspective of the "world" than humans.

The only "world" we know is the land... the world sharks know is much larger than ours.

Humans havent contributed a goddamn thing to the ocean besides pollution and murder.

If humans disappeared tomorrow it would only HELP sharks.

They were doing just fine a loooonnngggg time before we ever appeared on the planet.

 

Sharks are awesome.

 

They're good listeners.
