Two very good fights on Eddie Hearns "Noocassell" Card tonight, one a British title Fight at 154 between a guy called Ted Cheeseman and a guy called Scott Fitzgerald. No knockdowns, but a real thinking mans brawl as Fitzgerald rinded out a 12 round decision over Cheeseman, who was known for brawling but tried a stick and move tactic that nearly worked but he ran out of steam and was hunted down towards the end. It's wasn't quite Philadelphia but it was good. Fitzgerald took him into deep waters and drowned him. Apparently Fitzgeralds are known for this type of thing. He also threw a massive party after the fight and all the names and faces were there. Cheeseman looked tight at the Whey in on Friday. He did give a big shout out to the Curds at the end. He also left the ring immediately after the decision was announced....no doubt he was.....well.......Cheesed off. He also mouthed "Eff Scott Fitzgerald" at the cameras. Cheeseman had only lost once before to Sergio Garcia but we all have our bogeymen and a 12 round decision loss is par for up and coming fighters. He shouldn't let that handicap him in the future. Main event featured Lewis Ritson vs Robbie Davies Jr in a WBA Super Lighteweight {AKA Junior Welter aka 10 stone aka fuck off} eliminator fight. That's Regis Prograis territory. Neither Davies Junior nor Ritson will be ending the Regency anytime soon. Brilliant fight, great opening 3 rounds and a proper finishing 12th before Ritson rightly took a decision that was a bit closer than the cards suggested. Ironically, Hearn had two cracking fights with proper titles at stake.......on TV for free and not buried on some shitty undercard to a PPV main event. Last but not least, spare a thought for Devon Haney, who is apparently not just missing, but has total retards out looking for him.
