    It's basically the revenge flick that The Revenant TRIED to be, yet failed miserably.

    But it has a shitload more depth than most revenge flicks, as it's essentially about the evil of colonialism in Tasmania.

    And oh yeah, the villain in this movie is a truly hateful, and evil sonuvabitch.

    Hey I really enjoyed the revenant. But i enjoyed so much more the second time than the first. I will watch it. Where did you catch it on? Netflix or Amazon?

    I am watching The King right now. So far so good.

    depends what you like. Its basically about a son who drinks and parities all the time who hates his father's way of doing king shit. Father dies and this kid finally has to be king. But wants to do shit differently than his dad. Unfortunately France is in the mood to challenge his authority and he is tested as a king by his enemies and is people.

    So just finished The Nightingale.

    Xplosive is on some shit. It was OK. But the shit was waaaaaay to long. Usually revenge flicks are suppose to be long so you can develop the initial character that dies and care about the person seeking revenge. By the middle of the movie, I ended up not giving a fuck about anyone and just couldnt wait for it to finish.

    The King shits on this movie IMO.

    Nightingale seems way better. It has a certain T. Malick feel to it fro.m the trailer and clips I've seen. It will probably be up for some Oscars this year. The King seems like standard one time watch Netflix popcorn entertainment.

    But I will watch both.

    Tree of Life
    Days of Heaven



    And his new movie "A Hidden Life" looks dope as fuck. I have to wait but I dont want to.

    Days of Heaven was actually good. That's his best film IMO.

    Badlands was crap. So much hype around that movie for nothing. I saw it like 3 years ago, and honestly don't know what the hype was about.

    Tree of Life I couldn't finish. It was too fucking pretentious.

    Admittedly, I've never seen The New World.

    Lol people that don’t get Malick films crack me up. They think malick is trying to make some important film about important life changing shit when it’s really about ordinary life. It’s about relationships and how environments can affect them.

    anyone with kids that wasn’t moved by tree of life has no soul or didn’t understand it. Those are the only fucking options.

    I'm about 90 mins into The King.

    This shit is no way as good as The Nightingale.

    I think that's accurately reflected by the fact that it is has mediocre reviews, and The Nightingale has strong reviews.

    You made it sound like this shit was El Cid or something!

    It's fuckin boring.
