Not far from where we live, about 15mins, there's a massive 'rainforest' area called Parque Estadual da Cantareira.
It's a great place to go for a walk - 7km, all uphill - with a great view of the city at the top.
Throughout the walk, you can offshoot down various trails and they warn of such spiders and scorpions here.

 

Fuck that. Those things are legit terrifying. I've heard loads of nature presenters say "spiders are fine, they're more scared of you than you are of them...with the exception of the Brazilian Wandering Spider." The bite sounds horrific, and even if you somehow survive there's still a big chance you're going to be fucked up in some way afterwards anyway. Not to mention they're aggressive, fast as fuck, can jump, will chase and will regularly cross paths with people...just na mate, I'm out.

Jimmy strikes me as the type of guy who would allow the tomato sauce to stick. Strikes me as the sort of guy who wouldn't keep stirring. Comes across as the sort of man who would turn his nose at pork butt and some veal cutlets that were done just right. He's the sort of guy who might, for example, look out the door and see that the helicopter was not in fact gone but was still there. The sort of character who might throw 32 hundred at you for a lifetime and then turn his back on you and go back to his sausages. On my mum's road this morning there was a big ruck between three crows and three seagulls over some naan bread some pisshead must have dropped on the pavement. Proper fun to watch. Birds getting dive-bombed out of the sky, calling for reinforcements, looked like one group was getting the upper hand then the other would take over, real tactical shit with pincer movements and stuff at times. The seagulls seemed to have taken the initiative by the time I left.

 

Fucking shite hawk seagulls - forever fucking o'er the other birds, like. Aftae the nuclear war, those bassas will inherit the earth.

Seagulls are also pretty hench as birds go, crows aren't small either but they're much smarter. I like to think the crows were playing the long game, outcrafting the silly meathead bastards, making them think they have it won, before pulling out some crazy maneuver to steal the spoils right at the end.

 

Seagulls have botulism. They get it from eating the shit in the waste tips. As you say, total pests.
