Salah dropped. Firmino dropped. Odds on an Everton win.........dropped from 13/2 to 9/2

United showing Spurs a clean pair of heels at the moment, but I wonder if United don't get a 2nd that Spurs might put it on them as United tire.

1-1 as suspected United couldn't get the 2nd.

"Delle Alli scores again for Jose Mourinho" crows the commentator...........and here's me thinking he played for Spurs.

    Hang on...Hang on...VAR......

Yeah but the performance was patchy.

Massive credit to Shaqiri. Massive credit to Origi.

Forgotten men who just do not sulk and scowl....they were summoned tonight and delivered.

Love the job Bobby Firm did on that twat Holgate for the 5th.

United got the finger out to prove a point to Kaiser Jose.

Bet they go back to sleep now. They will get NOTHING against City.

Their performances have by and large been patchy all the way through this season so far yet they've only dropped 2 points. Mental start and they haven't even hit top gear.

Yeah that Firminho move for the 5th was great, loved Origi's first touch and finish for his second as well.

My fantasy side got50 points this gameweek.

30 were from Mane....made him my captain this week for first time ever.

Salah.....nothing. Not a sausage. Has to be a first as well.

Liverpool need to keep going. 8 points is fuck all. And that IS the gap, not 11 like the pundits keep saying.

Leicester are fantastic but I still think it's between 'Pool and City come the end of the season.

Granted i usually just see the highlights but this liverpool team must play the best fitbaw ive ever witnessed, the directness, passing accuracy, movement and anticipation, the consistency with which players control difficult to control passes, the inventive finishing, its just utterly mental.

Mate I had £10 ready at 2-0 and 4-1 for "Everton Next Goal".

Twice I said "Nah, it can't keep happening".

    TWICE it happened.

    FFS.

    £60 down the pisser.

I wasn't betting against them. I was covering, or should have been covering, the very likely eventuality of Everton scoring when they did. I wasn't so sure about betting against LFC, rather I am covering something I feel is due. A la Brighton and twice vs Everton. That's all. All I do is spend it on cheap tools for hobbies. Hardly the greatest sinner of all time. The WORKSHOP MUST STAY OPEN!! THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE!!!

And then they can't clear a simple ball. It's maddening. I went down the TAKKA TAKKA TAKKA route in 13/14. Offense wins fans. Defense wins leagues.

Play like that against Salzburg and they'll bury us.

    Bigger picture and all that.

Some of the passing was insane. Lovrens Joe Montana thing was unreal. That's Worldly stuff. 4 minutes later the guy was nowhere to be seen as Richarlison bundled home.

Manes pass was great too.....I mean he plain took 4 men out of the game.

Most impressive thing? Forgetten men coming in and not just doing a job, but doing a wrecking job.

Need Fabinho and Matip back ASAP tho.

That's what I enjoy about them ... it's such attractive football... they win with style

And it's a likable side and a proper big club, no artificial infusion of purchased prestige from a slave state or a corrupt oligarch ... it's like chemo for the Shitty/Chelski/PSG cancer

To paraphrase Yeats, an Irishman has an abiding sense of tragedy that sustains him through temporary periods of joy.

While I'm certainly guilty as charged, Our Irish takes this to unimaginable extremes
