Skipping/rope-jumping is easy. Piece of piss.

But you also need to factor greater muscle discomfort and fatigue caused by various cardiovascular excersises.
e.g. 45 mins of walking on a treadmill at 7kph is probably better/safer than 30 mins of running on concrete at 9kph.

Plus, I said 120 cals in 10mins would be a good start...e.g. Beginner

Skipping rope for 10 one-minute intervals with 30 seconds rest is not easy when you weigh as much as I do and do it as fast as I do.

I do a lot more than 60 revolutions of the rope in 60 seconds.... lol

As I say I am literally getting my entire body weight to clear the ground and land what is probably well over a thousand times in a 10 minute session.

Then its 10 on the bag. Southpaw all the time except the odd time where I straighten up and let my hands go for a bit.

Then 5 mins skipping, then 5 mins rope.

It's a genuine 30 mins of work and I keep my heart rate HIGH.

All the weights is fast bursts of an easily moved weight but by the 20th rep....the fatigue is right there.

As I say I have incorporated these stair sprints into the workout...did another 20 today. Felt amazing after them. Clear breathing. Great sweat.

I've toned down on the long walks but I still fancy 2-3 per week.

Don't get me wrong, I feel champion. I can see the changes. I recover faster. Loads of energy. Just a bit miffed.

Now...I did go and take a crap about 2 hours after my weigh in...I reckon that was a good 1lb worth.

Just couldn't go at 9AM I suppose I should have put the weigh in off for an hour.

I agree on discomfort...As Ross Enamait says..."If the bar ain't bending you're just pretending".

    For me, if I ain't heaving I ain't believing.

Gotta be panting, gotta be in discomfort.......and I know the bad tempers is coming from calorific deficiency.

The key thing is I am working new exercises in every week....and I know from past experiences that I am the sort of guy who sort of hits a wall....and then breaks through belatedly.

    Just need to keep working.

    Ootrage!

'Fugazzotto, the artist, said "there is nothing more important than trying to change people’s perceptions via their work”. “With this trio of paintings, I tried to show that we are all complex and fascinating creatures, who can be sad or happy, Catholic, Muslim or Buddhist, but at the end of the day, what decides who we are is not the colour of our skin.”'

    Diznae even mention Presbyterians!

This I can personally attest to:-

“The significance of the one-minute all-out Airdyne test is psychological,” says MacDonald. “People underestimate how difficult a minute can be if you’re truly 'all in.'

It reminds me of what Arnie said all the way back in the 1970's about repping and breaking through a barrier and how it's knowing how to apply yourself to the exercise...a lot of guys think they are beat when they aren't....:-

Didn't catch the Europa League draw myself, it concerns small outfits like Rangers and Man United lol

Regards the CL draw I didn't even remember it was on today and tuned in just after.

Bit mixed bag, really. Atletico are a good side with real pedigree and will be utterly unafraid. Bear in mind this is a side that play Valencia, Barcelona and Real Madrid like 6 times a year, at least.

They aren't afraid and Steven Warnock made the point on SKY that they won't get turned over like Barcelona did if the chips are down.

Lepizig look tricky for Spurs and Man City should piss all over Real Madrid.

Chelsea have a hard hard game and I think that's their race run, TBH.

Yeah its really....nice. Uniformly, unremittingly, unreleltingly nice. Ever single cross section of ten people dressed in the same selection of respectably middle class jackets & scarfs, waiting at the traffic lights whether there're cars or not, every single block in town a well maintained, understatedly classical white building of 5 stories. Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens.

I'll say this for it: definitelt the best airport ever. The driverless train with the window at the front as you go through the tunnels, the gorgeous wood flooring, the big open light flooded concourse like a train station, the smiling friendliness of the security! 5 star

This is how modern "journalism" works today. Avoid saying anything yourself, just use text and twitter harvesting of opinion to generate articles for you.

Two beauties from the BBC tonight....

At the end of the day Klopp has a lot to answer for here. He hasn't shown respect to the competition and should pay all travelling ticket costs in full! Not to mention the psychological impacts for the young lads out there...

    Rafa, Stevenage

    SMS Message:

We should question Klopp's leadership here. It's one thing looking like a great leader and putting a youth coach in charge with a copy of "the Liverpool way" handbook. It's quite another leaving the kids behind to fend for themselves against grown men, the soft kid in school getting kicked and punched by the school bully while the grown ups look the other way from Anon

I hate these games against these "Plucky" outfits when LFC can't afford to go full tilt. We don't have Messi's or Hernandez or Xavis to just keep the ball and kill them.

All this chop and change does my loaf in.

Couldn't defend the deep free kick. 1-1
