What's a fight with the most hatred amongst the participants?

Disagree, Toney did indeed rinse them, but the hate between the two was legit. Eubank and Benn hated each other, I would say even now.

 

I remember the story being they went for a run in Big Bear and Vargas viewed Oscar as his hero. Basically he faceplanted or something into the snow and De La Hoya just kept laughing about it. That's essentially how the whole thing started.

I think De La Hoya was just snobby and looked down on Vargas, and there was supposedly that incident where he laughed when Vargas slipped.

As a result, Vargas hated Oscar.

Vargas talked about Oscar not being a “real Mexican” and how Vargas said he was a real one. I always had a theory that vargas had a chip on his shoulder about not being a “real Mexican” because his Spanish is awful and people clowned him growing up for not being able to speak it, while Oscar speaks it well and used being bilingual to market his fights.

 

He viewed Rondon as an imposter gifted a WBA belt that Foster viewed as rightly his and unfairly stripped ... Rondon also had a big mouth

How bout the deepest hate between guys who never fought each other? That has to go to Bowe and Lewis.

True hate between fighters is apparent when it carries over into retirement.

The trio of Tyson/Holy/Lewis are all friends now, but Bowe & Lewis still hate each other.

I don't think Eubank Benn 1 was on USA tv. Eubank vs Benn 2 definitely was and I remember watching it closely and scoring every round exactly as Czyz did and I liked him ever since.

I don't know how many, if any, new boxing fans we have around here, but televised boxing was pretty shitty in the 90's and only changed toward the end of the 90's. There was a stretch where you could go over a month without Showtime or HBO televising anything.
