    Nothing is sticking. Nothing.

Again and again and again all this intricate bobbling-ball 1-2 edge-of-the-area stuff.

Do what Rashford does. KICK THE FUCKING BALL HARD AT THEIR GOAL.

4 in the middle . Will Origi cross it? Will he fuck. No. He'd prefer to lose it then give away a free kick.

Who cares? The worst thing that can happen is for clubs to take this farce seriously

Yes but losing is a habit. Why take that chance?

Leaving the kids behind to get bashed by Villa looks worse if the Senior player don't take this seriously.

This is like the Away-Cup-Games in Benitez era. Being bothered and harassed by FC Dog and Duck.

That's fine, I agree. SO BRING the youth kids and leave the Seniors have time off!!!????

Instead, he's brought the seniors and mixed and matched so we've got this menagerie of hopelessness on the field.

Liverpool look they were out drinking all night.

Allisson best Liverpool player. Says it all. I've seen these games before, where the ball will not stick, won't go in.

    Milner off. He was shot.

    TAA on.

Monterey have had 4 chances in the past minute.

Liverpools starting back 4 are World Class.

Any changes to that means total madness and chaos.

So...why do they send full-strength teams to participate, year after year? :Dont:

It´s a two-game tournament, no particular kudos and no prize-money.

    It;'s 2 games for 2 teams, I think...no?

Liverpool showed up tired, disoriented, then Van Dijk fell ill. IT started bad and got worse, I've seen how these things happen when you have new formations and relationships on short notice and nothing works.

Literally nothing stuck the whole game. It was always 6 inches away from being perfect. And there was no defence, for the obvious reasons. Literally first 3 CB's were out. Lovren, Van Dijk, and Matip.

Take Henderson out of the middle and put him with Gomez creates a gap in the middle and a problem at the back. Keita looked half asleep but was trying hard.

Origi and Shaqiri had utterly awful games.

I give LFC credit for keeping on keeping on and doing it their way, and the winner was pure class, no desperate rushed job.

Klopp was being attacked about Qatar human rights record.....FFS might as well go and berate the kit man and the physio too.

I understand how it played out the way it did but that was a hard, hard watch and Saturday won't be any better.

I think there are some pressures to do so and it wouldn't look good if they sent a reserve side. Disrespectful and so on.

I've read FIFA plan on expanding the tournament. I don't know if that means the UEFA winners will have to play additional matches, but if they do then they probably will send a B team.

Friday night should be the standard time for football, i think. Finish work, hit the pub for a couple, home by 11, rest of the weekend to yourself. Brilliant. Failing that, 6pm saturday would be an improvement. 3pm just seems to eat up the entire day and any time on sunday is the pits.

Lol mate nobody gives a fuck about this shitty competition, legit nobody cares. I say this as somebody who recognises this is the only "major" trophy QPR have ever won. Nobody cared yesterday, nobody cares today, nobody will care tomorrow. Just be thankful you support a club that can and will win things.

That's what it was called a few years ago. Since Quaker Oats became a sponsor it changed to the Cap'n Crunch Cup.

Yeah, you know why though, right?
His usually has a preceding crouching action which preloads his muscles - it´s like a counter-movement, which, when combined with the jump itself, lowers his center-of-mass. That initial run-in probably helped, too.
And he does tons more Plyometrics than any other footballer.

Reminds me of the header he scored in Moscow for ManU v Chelsea 10-odd years ago? Similar, but there, he jumped with a strict vertical trajectory.

No I was talking about the World Club Championship.

I wasn't concerned about what happened vs Villa. That was unfortunate but it got worse IF the "Seniors" lost to Monterrey.

Basically that meant that the kids got butchered for nothing.

As it happens we avoided it.

I see Lester and Shitteh could be playing each other now....noice.

Prety sure I invented that once I heard he had the Arsenal record for vertical standing leap.
