How come he hasn't fought in more than a year? He gets this close to a title shot and takes his sweet ass time? He's getting up there in age. He should fight Canelo at 175.
Why not? He's 12-1 in his last 13.. much bigger than Canelo...still got that speed..he's a big name...might be 50 but Russians age slower... it would sell.

Honestly..............I wouldn't doubt their desire to do it, not for a minute. But can you imagine Roy beat him. Oh man!!! I mean if Khan can make him look thick for 4 or 5 rounds it's possible Roy could bounce around, flash out the jab and cut him....and then RUN.
No, cmon... Roy is not beating Canelo at this point. It'd be a gross mismatch in Canelo's favor if they fought right now. Jones has zero left in the tank. I sure as Hell wish Canelo fought a prime Jones though. Canelo would have no more success than a guy like Eric Lucas had.
I'd expect Canelo to last the distance with a prime Roy, because Roy's speed and power would have Canelo mentally quitting early on... and just content to go the distance.
Aye, can't really fault Canelo's chin to be fair, plus he has a good defence to go along with it. Prime Roy would turn him into Charmino though.
