Davis "might" be more durable, but he won't know until he fights someone with decent power.

 

Davis throws hard fast shots from various and odd angles with both hands like a young judah did

 

He certainly favors that left uppercut, just like Zab.

 

Judah recouped well after the Tszyu fight and put Floyd on his ass en route to winning a few rounds in a row. Did better with Floyd than Hatton did albeit that was at 147.

 

If prime Floyd fought Davis at 130, I struggle to see Davis even making the late rounds.

Tank needs to take this game seriously if he expects to succeed at lightweight.
The division is stacked with Loma, Lopez, Haney, and no shortage of other solid contenders.

If Davis gets serious and trains,..with his crisp, solid power....he can beat anyone in the division.

Just train and get your cardio and work rate up to par

 

Haney and Lopez wont be at 135 for long. Both guys are more natural for 140 than 135. Ryan Garcia will eventually be at 140 also.

I cant see how Davis succeeds past 135. His frame is not built for higher than lightweight.

IF this kid had problems outside the ring, yet trained like a spartan, it would be one thing. But his problems are two-fold - he's a knucklehead outside the ring, and very undisciplined in his professional.

The writing is the on the wall. He's a disaster waiting to happen, but it's probably doubtful that disaster will occur against a featherweight like Santa Cruz.
