    Hi everyone,
I saw a post on Facebook posted by fightbeat.com and had to come back and visit!

I haven't been here since I stopped covering Montreal boxing for the site back when Jean Pascal was starting his career and YouTube was taking off!

Browsing the forums I saw some familiar names still here! Wow.

Shout out to Cupey and Jake (if you are still here) for letting me be a journalist for a brief but happy time in my life.

    Long live fightbeat.com. :)

Congrats, welcome back to a shell of the Fightbeat you knew from 12 years ago. We no longer take anything seriously around here (except Doub and JOM).

Cupey and Jake are long gone from posting.

I often wonder WTF happened to Donnybrook? That guy just vanished into thin air like 10-12 years ago. He was quality.

Cupey? Who knows and who gives a shit.

How Cupey was ever able to reach one arm with the other arm to use those dirty needles I will never know.

He tried to sell me paid access to the video section back in 2004.

I invented youtube to get around him.

Can't believe you've never seen these fights, live or on replay. Guess it's true.

The only guy I ever bought fights from on this forum was (ironically enough) Kid Dynamite.

To his credit, he got them over to me in timely fashion and it was good quality.

I traded with him as well... straight up guy in that regard ... no issues whatsoever... he even threw Tyson/Spinks on the end of one of the tapes as a joke

The guy who had the biggest collection of fights on the net was Brian Cooper - who sadly died like 5 years ago. He was my main connect, and probably a lot of other's connect as well. He had an absolutely astounding catalog of fights, and he was a cool guy. RIP to him.

I used to pay big bucks for top quality VHS. Don't regret it even though the tapes are now useless. I got a lot of use out of them.

That guy had EVERYTHING from everyone.

Well all but the rarest fights probably are at this point. It's not just youtube but torrents.
