Haney is a fucking idiot to sign with DAZN.

It's simply an undeniable fact that DAZN is inhibiting the star potential of these guys.

Vergil Ortiz, for example, would far better known by mainstream fans a few years if he were on HBO.

Ortiz should be with Top Rank. Oscar has one fucking star, and that star was built on HBO.

Dela ("Golden Boy Promotions") Has His OWN Deal w/DAZN, Exclusive of Canelo's...

As for Haney, DAZN Undoubtedly Gave Him an Absurd Front Loaded Contract...DAZN's M.O. Has Been to Overpay to Acquire the Talent, Then Deal w/the Fallout Afterwards...

Hard to Envision This Being Sustainable...

    In Theory, Yes...

Prograis' a Lou DiBella Guy and Isn't Bound to Any Particular Network...He Fought on ESPN and ShowBox Prior to the WBSS...

Doubtful DiBella Will Encourage Him to Do Anything Other Than a Fight By Fight Deal w/DAZN...Regis MIGHT Have 2 Fights Remaining @ '40, if That...

    Which is Perfectly Understandable...

But He was On a Non-Binding, Fight By Fight "Deal" w/PBC...Effectively, He's Been a Free Agent Since Returning in 2016 and Just Gave That Up to Sign w/DAZN???:Dont:...

9/10th's of the MEANINGFUL Welters are w/PBC and Top Rank Now Has All 4 Jr. Welter Belts Under Their Umbrella...Literally, DAZN Has NO Title Mikey Can Fight For from 140-147...

    WTF???...

"No Sport That Exists Lies As Regularly to its Fans as Boxing"...

Oh, NOW You Wanna Be All Benevolent and Shit, Motherfucker???...When PBC's Stable was On Showtime You WEREN'T Saying Shit, but NOW That Haymon's Taken His Toys to FOX and Left Your Ass High and Dry, You CARE About the Fans???...

Btw, I'm 100% down for Crawford-Taylor if Taylor beats Ramirez impressively.

Josh would be the best opponent Bud has faced.

I think the Postol of 5 years ago might beat Ramirez.

But now he's old and inactive.

A guy with Postol's style depends on activity.

Yeah, hard to see this ending well. Still, i hope that it succeed. 150 for a year is a reasonable price to see high level boxing.

    agREED...

Problem Is, DAZN Will End Up Charging the SAME Prices As the More Established American Platforms, Eventually... So We'd Better ENJOY the Ride While it Lasts, as Fans....

In Terms of Boxing BUSINESS, DAZN Is Damn Near GIVING Fights Away, Comparatively Speaking...Sure, Top Rank Has ESPN and ESPN+, But Their True MONEY Bouts Will Always Be ESPN PPV's, Period...Fuck the Subscribers, They STILL Covet That PPV Money Also...Meanwhile, PBC Uses Showtime as Their Side-Chick "Streaming Service", While WIFING FOX For Non-Subscription and PPV Telecasts...

Yeah thats my biggest worry; that eventually they'll ppv their biggest fights. If that's the case, we'll be back to the showtime/hbo model

DAZN is looking for market share at this stage and then they will crank the price

Regis may need a change in trainers - he has a competent one in Bobby Benton, but Bobby is not an elite one. Prograis is also not the most driven fighter out there and should have won that fight as the guy was right there in front of him. Taylor was in better shape than he was is what that fight boiled down to.

There were points in the middle rounds where it was apparent that Prograis was the superior talent of the two. Josh just wanted it more, and straight up outfought a better fighter.

There's talks that Prograis-Hooker could happen in the spring.

If Prograis' not diminished by the Taylor war, he'll stop Hooker.

Have not spoken with him in years - I do not like the gym as there are too many trainers and far too many wannabee trainers shouting and yelling at fighters in the ring throughout. A fighter needs one voice from one trainer in a calm and an authoritative manner like Ronnie Shields runs his place and that is one of the reasons why he is the best.

Who would you recommend that the brick wall hire to replace benton? Shields?

Ronnie already trained him at Savannah's. It worked for awhile then Regis left. No way he would click with Teddy - impossible. I'd pick Joe Goosen as his gym is in LA where Regis' manager is.
