J-Rock’s a Good Dude But He WAS Starting to Feel Himself a Bit Much on Social Media... As If He Were Some Loooooongtime, Grizzled, Veteran Champion or Something... REED
Rosario Would Dwarf Crawford and He’s a Free Swinger w/Power in Both Hands... If Crawford Committed Himself to Sticking and Moving, REED Could See Him Winning a Snoozer, But That’s Never Really Been Bud’s M.O... REED
Crawford would win. Even with the size disparity, the class disparity is huge enough to earn Bud the win.
I feel pretty bummed for J-Rock. Even if REED says that he was feelin himself a bit too much coming into this fight, Julian is still one of the good guys of the sport, and it's obvious he's emotional about his losses. I worry about him long-term, because his chin is glass and he doesn't know how to hold when hurt. He has two brutal stoppage losses now. One more, and maybe he should consider winding his career down. I don't wanna see him brain damaged.
J-Rock IS a Good Dude, Like You Said... But Having Followed Him On Twitter Since PRE- Championships, There Seemed to Be an Immediate "Look, Listen to ME Because I've Been There/Done That" Vibe to His Posts...Sorta Like the Dude That Walks Into a Military Office, Enlists, Walks Out and Immediately Starts Calling Himself a HERO... J-Rock Can RIGHTFULLY Be Proud of What He's Accomplished, No Matter What Happens Moving Forward...But It was Like Bruh, You JUST Got the Belts...Almost as if Someone Literally TOLD Him His Thoughts/Opinions Carried MORE Weight Now That He was a World Champion... REED
This is true. I'd be willing to bet that J-Rock will never again fight to the level of the Hurd fight. I'm very confident in saying that. A lot fighters have that ONE night where they put it all together, and are never that good again. An example I can think of from the past would be Sean O'Grady - who was otherwise an unspectacular fighter, but was spectacular for one night, when he beat up Hilmer Kenty. I think it'll be the same for J-Rock. But hey, he'll always have that one performance.
J-Rock Said He's Exercising his Immediate Rematch Clause... But agREED On That Being an Intriguing Matchup... REED
I think I'm surprised that Gallimore didn't hurt him. Dont forget, Gallimore stopped Rosario. Rosario is young - this win might propel him to coming a good fighter. Like I said, I dont pick him beat Munguia, based on the crap Munguia gave us last week.
Hurd's Always Been an Accumulation Guy... Wears You Down w/Size, Constant Pressure and Volume More Than Sheer POWER In His Punches... REED
He definitely has Philly balls on him for exercising the rematch clause. If he gets KO'd again, he's done.
Like REED Said in the Video, J-Rock is Philly to a FAULT...And He's Not FAUX Philly Like Jesse Hart's Excuse Making Ass Either, J-Rock's 'BOUT That Hard, Gritty, Philly Fighter Life... When the Eye Got Cut in the 2nd, He Should've MOVED to Allow Whatever Ointment was Applied to Set In a Bit...w/Hometown Judges, the Hometown Fighter Almost Always Gets the Benefit of "Meh" Rounds....J-Rock Could've Milked That a Round or 3 and Maybe, Just MAYBE the Bleeding Would've Ceased... The 1st Round was J-Rock's Blue Print for Success Last Night But He Deviated and Paid the Price... REED
I am sorry to see the title leave the the USA. Damn those are some good points - O'Grady is a great example as is "Six Heads Lewis". I think Williams got nailed switching hooks with this guy and lost his legs and that was that. Getting hit with an uppercut through the gloves like that doesn't happen often, it takes a "Bob Foster like" dexterity to do that. Kid cleaned his plow and that was that. Rosario looks and fights like a terrific welterweight contender of the late 50's and early 60's named Federico Thompson who has some fights on youtube and who fought Kid Paret for the title and lost though he had beaten Benny before that. I enjoyed that fight and like this kid as he is action.
Six Heads was a disaster waiting to happen. He looked like a beast destroying a totally shot James Page. That win prompted a few foolish posters on SecondsOut to predict he could beat Mosley (whom at the time was the top dog at 147). Then in his next fight, Six Heads looked like shit and nearly KO'd by a total nobody named Larry Marks - it was apparent after that he would be KO'd soon. It wasn't shocking at all when Mayorga destroyed him.
