    Glad to hear it’s benign

Mine is a combination of years when I played in a band, years of using Q-Tips to clean my ears (obviously don’t use them anymore) and most significantly one too many times impatiently using a diamond saw to cut stone without putting on ear protection first back when I was a laborer (I remember the last time I did this and my ears, particularly the right one rang for days... the game done changed that day)

Your comment about crowded places... holy fuck, story of my life... it’s incredibly frustrating... there’s this classic SNL skit from the 1970s parodying the nature themes of whole grain cereal advertisements; it’s a commercial for a wholesome cereal called Quarry and it’s just a bowl of rocks... it shows a family in a farmhouse eating breakfast and just this cacophony of crunching and breaking sounds... at one point the little girl turns and says something to the mother (Jane Curtin) while all this noise continues and she responds “What?!?!” and the daughter has to shout “I like Quarry ‘cause it’s crunchy!” ...

that’s what going out to eat is like for me...

They Q Tips (we call them cotton buds) are so tempting tae clean yer ears oot wi', they are dangerous as fuck. Hopefully, medical options advance enough in the future so as tae recover both yeez and Slice's hearing back tae they best as well as sort oot yer respective, tiny winkle problems.

    Just kilting!

Even though they've clearly got a lot of terrific players they're more than the sum of their parts. They have an energy and mentality that's brought them to a level above other great squads.

It's gotten to that magical stage like when Tyson was in his pomp. Guys try hard for a bit then start looking for the cleanest part of the canvas to land on.

City blew it again today, they're sort of in that phase where they expect things to go wrong.

That's where Klopp deserves credit. He spent 3 years addressing the defensive issue. It was terrible for that 3 years, they could be 2 up and lose. In fact it happened often that they blew big leads.

But by the time he'd fixed the defense, it wasn't just a running repair, it meshed with his offensive arrangement.

Coutinho sale was a massive gamble, but he got it right.

Anyways, happy days now. 22 clear. Talk on the terraces is of 6 more games.

I am sorry to hear that. I wouldn't jump ship from the BBC yet though. They might be worth staying on with, they might pay you off if you can make an issue of it.

Cynical I know but the one thing about the BBC is that they won't get rid of you if it's on disability grounds without looking after you.

I don't know your exact talents but you could try and retrain as a locksmith. I have been looking at it as a part-time option {I learned how to pick a few locks so far} and it's basically a job you can make a good living from in London.

I know it sounds daft even mentioning it. But I've been in so many {self-made} ruts that I've always bounced from one "hobby" to the next learning as I go along.

Stick with the BEEB for as long as you can....they might not have a conscience but they have a reputation and won't want to harm it on your account.

Just watched the highlights of Citeh-Totnum. Blew a whole pile of great chances including a missed penalty. A red card and Spurs capitalize.

Mourinho will make it sound like it was his tactical brilliance that won the match when they could have been down 4 at half time.

It took Pep AN HOUR to come out and speak to the TV after the game. It's usually within 15 minutes.

Pep basically will say it's the penalty they didn't get after missing the penalty they got thanks to VAR.

Two guys who make a pile of excuses whether they win, lose, draw.

I remember Brendan Rodgers saying after Leicester lost to Burnley that "this will make a great training video for us" or words to that effect.

These guys would pick the cherries out of an elephants shit and make fine wine with them.

I only saw the highlights, not the entire game but from what i did see Pep has the right to feel aggrieved. Not because of VAR crap but that they were by far the superior side.

He's no right to be angry, perhaps disappointed.........but that is football and in fairness to him he has kind of conceded that. Make a lot of chances, don't take them, lose...shit happens.

Interestingly, Aguero backed out of taking the pen vs Loris, who has saved from him before. Funny that. I thought Aguero was this stone cold killer.

And now Sterling, who damn near got sent off........is out injured.

Nasty piece of work him. He was at it again today.

It's like somebody has been stealing my pocket money for 30 years, then turns around and tells me they've been investing it in Apple and Google since their conception and the £5,000 they stole is now worth £6.5bn adjusted after taxes and for inflation.

It usually works out well. I've even seen people practicing their new chant in a pub and getting it down.

There's an old youtube clip where West Ham supporters and Wolverhampton supporters ended up on the same train. After a while the West Ham fans started chanting:

" You're just a shit town in West Brom!
A shit town in West Brom!
You're just a shit town in West Brom!"

Wolves fan look around like, "Erm...what?"
