Funny thing is.........I was thinking about his fight {the KO loss to Byrd} the other day and now he's dead. I was thinking about Darren Sutherland too the day before he died. Stops and thinks really really hard about Nobles...........
Literally that's my abiding memory of the guy..............capable of KO'g somebody with one shot.........harmless as a heel hound once his teeth got pulled. Shutup Lige.
Cool guy, RIP. Also, he is one of my favorite counter examples when we hear "soandso wouldn't have made it to the TV in the 90s). Thunder not only made it to the TV but to The Ring top 10
Grimsley had gone rounds with George Foreman before this. Not saying that Foreman broke his chin but Grimsley wasn't totally terrible and he got caught cold. Don't know what to make of Thunder. Guy got dropped by Chris Byrd.
There's nothing to make of Thunder. He was pure trash. A decent watch, but not close to good. Looked like a full out juicer. Seemed like a very nice guy in every interview. I had no idea his last name wasn't Thunder.
